Deadpool lay flat on the somewhat scorched earth, his limbs twitching, his left foot quivering at the air as though he were about to die.

A massive amount of life force had been drained away. Even his healing factor was having trouble keeping up.

At first, he exhaled more than he inhaled, but as time passed, his condition recovered at a visibly rapid pace.

His heart began beating powerfully again, and his breathing gradually slowed.
