Nebula's roars filled the cave, their echoes drifting endlessly through the darkness. As if answering her fury, a muffled clap of thunder suddenly sounded outside. The light rain that had fallen steadily for half the day showed signs of becoming moderate rain. Rain, thunder, and furious shouting blended together, bringing a burst of clamor to the cave. Batman seemed not to hear any of it. From time to time, he paused to think, then glanced at Nebula.

A pitch-black cave, a rainy night, a strange creepy uncle, and a girl unable to resist—put together, it seemed like the sort of setting where something might happen. Yet nothing that should have happened did, while something that should not have happened did.

Nebula discovered in horror that the mechanical portion of her body had been breached by an external program.

Her arms, mechanical organs, electronic eyes, and a portion of the memory sector in her brain had been completely exposed. Her heart went cold.

It was not all of her memories, but the exposure of this portion alone made her feel as though she had fallen into an ice cellar.

This man called Batman possessed terrifying technological capabilities. Not only had he cracked the two subsystems Stark had set up when repairing Nebula's body, he had also broken through a defensive system Thanos had placed at its core.

A vast amount of memory was extracted and displayed in the pitch-black cave through her electronic eyes in the form of three-dimensional projections.

Batman quietly examined her memories, doing so carefully and attentively.

Nebula's voice system had been taken over. She wanted to curse at him, but she could not utter a single word. She could only float in midair like a machine, displaying that portion of her memories for others to see.
