After getting through the initial days of discomfort, Mr. Ward felt no different than before. Previously, he had played a foolhardy agent; now, he was merely changing roles.

When Daisy entered the set, filming was proceeding in an orderly fashion.

There were not many laboratory scenes. They mainly involved several people gathered around Velociraptor eggs, watching the Velociraptors hatch. The eggs were props, and there was no way they could produce actual Velociraptors, so they could only act against nothing while the computer effects were added later.

The main character in this scene was Leo Fitz, who played the second male lead, a mathematician devoted to mathematics and opposed to cloning dinosaurs from beginning to end.

Fitz had clearly spent a great deal of time preparing for the role. He had grown out his buzz cut, put on a pair of black-rimmed glasses, and wore a somewhat outdated leather jacket, with unknown accessories hanging from his pockets and wrists, making him look like a young rocker.

Beneath that wild appearance was a meticulous and cautious approach to mathematics.

Acting opposite him was an ethnic Chinese agent.

Fitz concealed his nervousness with unease.

Playing to his own nature, he asked the geneticist from Dinosaur Island with a slight stammer, "How do you know they're all female? Did someone go into the park and lift up the dinosaurs' skirts?"

With his back to the camera, the ethnic Chinese agent said, "Controlling their chromosomes isn't difficult. All vertebrate embryos are naturally female. They need external hormones during development to become male. As long as we don't give them those hormones, we can control them."

Fitz sat casually on a piece of equipment, but his expression was extremely solemn. "Your control won't succeed. Evolutionary history has taught us one thing: life cannot be contained.
