Daisy vs. Captain Marvel

Daisy and Captain Marvel soon flew away from Earth and landed on the surface of Mars.

Red dust blew into their faces, fine grains of sand striking their skin. Neither woman wiped them away, instead watching the other closely.

"Watch out!" Daisy, who favored offense, struck first. Her crimson cape fluttered in the wind as she shot forward like a streak of light, rapidly closing the distance between them.

Even though Captain Marvel's reactions surpassed ordinary limits, and her super speed amplified that trait tenfold, she had underestimated Daisy and failed to react in time.

A palm struck her in the abdomen, sending Captain Marvel flying several hundred meters. She smashed through a dirt mound less than twenty meters tall before finally coming to a stop.

"Such speed." She rose to her feet and tilted her head to spit out blood. She knew she had underestimated her opponent.

She considered herself far older than Daisy and had fought alone among the stars for over twenty years. She admired Earth and the Avengers, but nowhere near enough to identify with them. Before this, she had felt somewhat above it all, looking down on the people of Earth.

Now, Daisy's palm strike had knocked that pride out of her, and she began to take the fight seriously.

In battle, one had to know oneself and one's enemy. Daisy had previously watched Captain Marvel's fight with King Kong and was familiar with her fighting style, while Captain Marvel knew nothing about Daisy. That put her at a severe disadvantage. Captain Marvel reached down, grabbed a boulder beside her that weighed around a dozen tons, and hurled it at Daisy across several hundred meters.

The boulder carried both tremendous speed and force. Daisy did not foolishly try to take it head-on, lightly leaping aside
