The Shi'ar high-speed ship carried Daisy and several outraged Imperial Guard members, who clamored for revenge, toward the front lines.

After passing through three stargates in succession, making two jumps, and then traveling at faster-than-light speed for an Earth hour, they arrived at the Shi'ar forward headquarters, an artificial planet.

Its outer shell was entirely metal, while its interior was powered by a dying star. This artificial planet was half the size of the sun, but it was still a colossal behemoth.

Of the five supermassive warships that had set out, one had already been destroyed in the previous battle. The lost vessel was an old Shi'ar warship, the fearless Sharla, named after the Shi'ar Twin Gods Sharla and Ketheri. It had been a firm supporter of the royal family, and it was hard to say whether its destruction had been part of Gladiator's plan to weaken the royal family.

Still, its sacrifice had been worthwhile. It had taken two of the Truth Cult's supermassive warships and their home planet down with it.

Gladiator still had not changed his habit of leading from the front. Supermassive warships were not actually that fast. Brother Gladiator had left the flagship with a group of large warships and advanced triumphantly, only to run into major trouble while attacking the Truth Cult's newest colony world.

Gladiator, the overall commander, more than twenty Imperial Guard elites, and nearly three million troops of the vanguard had all fallen into slumber. If the ships' Main Control Computers had not hastily activated their shields, they would be collecting corpses and preparing memorial services by now.

Gladiator and his men were now trapped in slumber, their ships crash-landed on an asteroid and surrounded by the Truth Cult's army. The situation could not have been more dangerous.
