Daisy's title as a senior Shi'ar adviser allowed her to communicate smoothly with sixty percent of the forces across the universe. Unless it was a matter of life and death, most people would show her some respect. But Ronan of the Kree was not among that sixty percent. He belonged to the other forty.
The Kree did not fear the Shi'ar. As one of the Kree Empire's hardliners, Ronan was practically itching to resume the war with the Shi'ar. Daisy's current title would not suppress him; it would only add fuel to the fire.
To be honest, Daisy was somewhat moved. Yondu was a cosmic pirate, so he had certainly killed plenty of people and done no shortage of bad things. Setting aside his merits and crimes for now, at least when it came to Star-Lord, he was a good father. He was willing to do a great deal for Star-Lord.
Ronan was impartial and stern, strictly adhering to Kree law. He would arrest even his own son if he broke the law. Yondu, a cosmic pirate chief with countless crimes to his name, did not dare face him.
With no other choice, Yondu told Daisy Star-Lord's name. He had to say it. He could not just ask Ronan to release someone without even knowing whom he was supposed to release.
"Peter Jason Quill? I understand." After looking through the information Yondu had provided, Daisy was not confident Ronan would release him. They were enemies to begin with, and her influence was not that great.
Whether it worked or not, she had to try first. If Gladiator stepped in over this matter, the other side might realize the value of what they had and start demanding an outrageous price. That would be disgusting.
