The Azure-Robed Venerable One abandoned his own defenses and forsook all refined techniques. This palm strike allowed no retreat, carrying an indomitable resolve as he sought to force Daisy into trading blows with him.
Daisy now had cloudlike hair and misty temples, graceful and lively, her eyes like autumn waters and her smile like a clear spring. Dressed as an Immortal maiden in a long gown with flowing sleeves, she was clearly unsuited for close combat. The Venerable One's eye was keen, and his goal was clear: as long as he could knock Daisy out of her current state, they still had hope.
"A very clever response." Daisy offered a word of praise. Though this was Ancient One's territory, Daisy could sense that Ancient One's will to fight was extremely weak, as though she were merely going through the motions. The Thunder God was too far beneath her level, while the Venerable One was the one being proactive and decisive.
Unfortunately, he had underestimated the power of the Infinity Gems. The Space Stone flashed blue, and the Venerable One seemed to be dragged by some unseen force, flying backward dozens of meters and slamming directly into a nearby mountain wall. The rock distorted and trapped him within, leaving only his limbs and head exposed.
He struggled violently, energy surging through his body as cracks spread across the mountain wall like a spiderweb.
"Impressive." Daisy sighed softly. The Venerable One had cultivated his energy for a thousand years; he was indeed formidable. Every fraction of energy he wielded had been brought to the utmost extreme.
Unfortunately, he was still one step short of the realm K'un-Lun called unity of heaven and man. Even if he truly took that step, he would still be far inferior to Daisy as she was now.
