Before Saving the World, Let's Save the Banks First

Miss Mockingbird knew very well that if Director Daisy still held a grudge against Scott Lang, taking the chance to pull him out now would definitely earn her complaints afterward.

"You people really underestimate my sense of fairness. Those are two separate matters. Bring him in." Daisy appeared utterly unconcerned as she settled the matter and put the past behind them.

Old Pym had already done a great deal of preparatory work. Scott Lang's special bail order had only just been signed when S.H.I.E.L.D. pulled him onto a helicopter. Soon afterward, they used one of their compact black-tech portals to bring him to the New York branch.

Daisy and Old Pym watched the uneasy Scott Lang on the monitor. The man had been led into the underground training grounds of the New York branch by a large, stern-faced agent. He was completely bewildered; if the agent had not been armed, he would have tried to run.

He felt that he had landed himself in even bigger trouble, but he did not dare resist. The agents ordered him around, making him sprint, then jump rope, constantly testing his physical fitness. The fear on his face was becoming impossible to hide.

"What exactly are your selection criteria? Can't you tell me yet?" Daisy felt that if she knew the criteria, she could simply use Atomic Modification and produce eighty or a hundred Ant-Man soldiers without any difficulty.

Old Pym kept his mouth shut. The formula for Pym Particles and his personnel selection criteria had always been his core secrets. Twenty years ago, he had refused to tell Howard Stark, and today he had no intention of telling S.H.I.E.L.D. either.

"Fine, keep it to yourself. You handle the training. I'll take care of the rest." Daisy had only asked in passing. She truly
