Daisy had barely finished speaking when Gladiator ran over and urgently asked, "How much time do we have left?"
"About five minutes and fifteen seconds!"
The staff member answered in a trembling voice. He was not a soldier, merely a civilian employee of Knowhere, yet he had now become part of the first line of defense facing a cosmic calamity. It was impossible not to be afraid.
From a personal standpoint, evacuating him now would have been best, but that would have been far too unfair to the warriors holding this position. Who did not have family waiting for them somewhere far away? No one wanted to die here!
If even one person fled, the morale of those remaining would never hold.
"Can you delay them another five minutes? Even three would do! Knowhere lacks heavy firepower support!" Whether Gladiator was sincere or merely putting on an act, the urgency on his face was genuine. He truly considered Shi'ar fate and prestige above all else.
Daisy thought seriously for a moment, then quickly exchanged a few words remotely with Mentor, who was on the Shi'ar homeworld.
"I'll give it a try. Hurry and make your preparations."
She flew directly out of Knowhere, her red cape like a blazing flame. After two teleports, she arrived at the damaged boundary between the two realms, stretching tens of millions of miles like a gigantic wound.
It was as though she could see the Insectoid Race desperately attacking from the other side of the barrier. They blasted at it with weapons, tore at it with claws, and bit at it with their teeth, all to break through even one second sooner.
By closing her eyes slightly, she could sense their emotions from across the barrier. Their bloodlust and brutality were utterly undisguised. Even through
