The Brood Emperor was miserable. Every time he took control of a portion of the Brood, that portion was swiftly wiped out. Without the antenna on his forehead to block excess signals, the pain of many dying Brood was transmitted to him. There were not many thoughts attached, so they could not affect his iron will, but once that pain accumulated to an enormous amount, even he could not endure it.
The result of his desperate maneuvering was that more and more elites died. No matter how precise the Brood Emperor's micromanagement was, he could not withstand Daisy's numerical advantage.
"Don't let him run! Kill him!" Daisy had already found the Brood Emperor's lair, but one of his wives had tangled her up.
That creature sprayed acid in every direction. To keep her clothes from being damaged and causing some cliché wardrobe mishap, Daisy instinctively chose to dodge. The moment she did, the Brood Emperor saw that the situation was hopeless and bolted, vanishing from sight in no time.
With the Brood Emperor fleeing, Xandar fell completely into chaos. The scattered Centurion Guards began to flee as well. Following the previous batch of captives, Daisy took a little time to kill the Brood Emperor's second wife. Under her command, the army swept back and forth across the battlefield. Seven hours after Xandar's second planet was captured, Xandar's first planet also returned to Kree hands.
The rear urgently dispatched vast numbers of engineers and warships. They planned to rebuild Planet Three, which Ronan had destroyed, and form a complete defensive chain.
This was the most important link in the Kree Empire's entire defensive perimeter. No
