Yumian and the others were outside the hospital room when they suddenly caught the scent of pheromones.

His expression changed abruptly.

Elaine's pheromones were entwined with an unfamiliar scent, carrying a soothing quality anyone could sense.

His brother had marked Shi Sheng?!

Once an Alpha of the Carlos family marked an Omega, that person would likewise be affected by the curse!

"Go get some rest." Elaine showed rare concern for his younger brother, then immediately added, "Don't come disturb him."

He let out a breath of relief. It seemed there had been no marking.

Before closing the door, Yumian could not help looking back once more.

His already uneasy heart sank even further.

The look in his brother's eyes was unfamiliar. It was not an expression that should appear on Thanatos of the Empire's face.

Could it be that his brother had truly developed feelings for this Omega the royal family had casually arranged for him?
