Eagle Catches Chicks

Having heard of him as well, he had been looking forward to meeting Su Nanxing so much that he was practically becoming a fan.

After the two exchanged a few more words, Shen Father and Shen Mother asked Su Nanxing, "I heard your grandfather was sick recently. Is he all right?"

Quite a few adults were drawn over, watching with smiles as the innocent children played.

Xu Qingqing watched Shen Zhuo giggle and smiled from the bottom of her heart as well. Ever since returning to the Shen Household, she could feel Shen Zhuo becoming more and more cheerful. He had even found other children to play with.

If he had stayed outside with her, facing rumors about not having a father, it would certainly have been difficult for him to make friends.

Seeing the smile on Xu Qingqing's face, Shen Yu walked over and took her hand. He was nervous for a moment, but when Xu Qingqing did not pull away, he held on even tighter.

The children started playing again. Shen Can and Su Nanxing returned to the stone bench, and Shen Can picked up a drink from the stone table and took a huge gulp.

"Wow, it's cold. Brother Huo, did you have someone bring these over?" Shen Can naturally turned to Huo Xi beside him and asked. Huo Xi nodded, and Shen Can immediately thanked him.

Su Nanxing thanked him too, and Huo Xi naturally told them both not to mention it. Shen Can then pulled Su Nanxing into a conversation.

"Have you finished recording your new song?" At Shen Can's question, Su Nanxing nodded. "Yes. It'll be released with the album next month."

"Then you won't be busy after this, right? Come hang out with me. I just got back from abroad, and I can't find anyone to play with." Shen Can immediately hugged Su Nanxing's arm.

Su Nanxing smiled. "Sure, I'll hang out with you. I've just finished my work too, so I have plenty of time."

He quite liked Shen Can. He was lively, interesting, cheerful, and generous. Being around him never felt boring or uncomfortable.

The children played for a little longer before being stopped, because they had all gone wild and were soaked in sweat.

Xu Qingqing arranged for the children to go eat fruit and watch television. Next came the adults' time to socialize again.

Shen Can, Huo Xi, and Su Nanxing remained in the same spot. Huo Xi sat there, listening to Shen Can and Su Nanxing gossip.

"Yes. Aside from doing business, my grandfather's hobbies include painting and playing chess. He's very skilled at painting, so Huo Xi's father once came to study under him." After finishing that conversation, the two went to eat.

Watching Shen Can and Su Nanxing, who had only known each other for a short time, already sit together for dinner, Shen Chi pursed his lips with an emotion he could not quite name.
