The Death Guards who had accompanied A Yales stepped forward as well. Drawing their weapons, they shouted angrily:
"How dare you! Let Her Highness go!" Their voices trembled slightly; Lin Ming's presence had clearly shaken them. But as Death Guards, their duty was to protect A Yales.
Even though they were afraid, they had to step forward. They gripped their weapons so tightly their knuckles turned white, yet none dared to attack recklessly for fear of provoking Lin Ming.
Their eyes stayed fixed on Lin Ming, as though searching for a chance to strike.
The atmosphere turned terrifyingly tense, like a taut string ready to snap. Everyone held their breath and watched Lin Ming grip A Yales by the throat, as though waiting for a storm to break.
A suffocating pressure filled the air. Even their heartbeats seemed to slow. The Tier Twelve experts clenched their fists, but none dared make a move.
They could only watch helplessly and await their fate. The great hall was deathly quiet. Only the faint sounds of A Yales struggling echoed through its empty expanse.
Lin Ming held A Yales aloft by her throat, but she still refused to back down.
With effort, she forced out a contemptuous smile and stared into Lin Ming's eyes. Her voice came in broken bursts, yet it still carried an air of towering arrogance:
"You... don't dare kill me... Do you know who I am? I'm the Imperial Princess of the Galactic Empire... a princess of a Medium Cosmic Empire... You're an insect from a Primary Cosmic Empire. What gives you the right to touch me?"
Her eyes brimmed with contempt. She seemed certain Lin Ming would not dare harm her.
To her, Lin Ming was merely a warrior from a Primary Cosmic Empire, while she was the
