Panic finally seized her. She struggled to break free of Lin Ming's grip, only to find she could not move at all. Terror filled her eyes. She finally realized that Lin Ming truly dared to kill her.
She tried to beg for mercy, but she could not get a single word out. Her mind went blank, leaving only one thought:
How dare he? How dare he! She kicked her legs desperately and beat at Lin Ming's arm with both hands, but it was like an ant trying to shake a tree. Nothing worked.
Her consciousness began to fade, and everything before her eyes grew dim.
At the sight, the guards rushed to save her as if they had gone mad. They swung their weapons and charged at Lin Ming, their eyes wild, as though they had forgotten all about life and death.
