Sephiroth, dressed in black leather, carried a mountain of ingredients in bags of all sizes into the kitchen. After setting them down, he pulled out a silver pocket watch and checked the time. It was 11:30.
There were only thirty minutes until lunch. Making enough food to fill the three Boa sisters in such a short time was obviously quite difficult...
So he drew the long blade at his waist and slashed through the air, opening a small Spatial Gate connected to the basement. Reaching through, he released a crimson bat from an iron cage on the other side.
Once the crimson bat flew into the kitchen, Sephiroth split a large swarm of black bats from his body. They tangled and merged with the crimson bat, forming a person identical to him in both clothing and appearance... a Bat Clone!
As his mastery of Life Return continued to improve, he discovered that he had reached an extremely high level of fine control over the bats created by his ability...
Since the bats created by his ability could form any part of his body, could he use them to create another version of himself?
The answer was... yes!
But...
A clone created purely from his ability had terrible coordination under his control. Sometimes, even he could not tell which was the original body and which was the clone. It felt as though his consciousness had been split in two.
To solve this problem, he had specifically tried feeding one Vampire Bat with his own blood, hoping to strengthen their connection. He used it as a command relay to improve his control over the clone and its coordination.
Perhaps because the Vampire Bat had absorbed too much of Sephiroth's blood, its color had changed
