Sephiroth, dressed in a black suit, stopped before the iron gate of a three-story garden villa. As he looked at it, he raised a hand and gently gripped one of the black iron bars, a trace of reminiscence appearing on his face.
This house before him was the home where the original owner of this body—"he"—had lived from childhood to adulthood.
Ever since they learned that he had taken up a post in the Sabaody Archipelago, Hancock and the others had stopped returning regularly to clean and stay here. Instead, they had simply made the Sabaody Archipelago their vacation spot.
Thus, due to years of neglect, the villa had become steeped in decay and age. The inside was probably covered in dust and cobwebs as well.
Perhaps because the scene stirred old feelings, memories of "his" childhood inexplicably surfaced in his mind. Sephiroth shook his head, trying to dispel those memories that did not belong to him.
As far as he was concerned, anything in his memories could be traced back through Blood Recall whenever he wished, no matter how many years had passed, making the impression as vivid as if it had just happened.
But memories related to "him" were the ones Sephiroth least wished to recall, so he almost never touched them.
To stop himself from overthinking, he turned around and left the villa, beginning to wander aimlessly through Water 7.
"Mr. Sephiroth, is that really you?"
A somewhat delighted and surprised voice suddenly reached Sephiroth's ears. He turned and saw a blonde woman with a few freckles on her face standing at the entrance of a mutton shop, a baby in her arms as she called out to him in delight.
