Whole Cake City, inside a spacious reception room.
Sephiroth reclined in a white chair. A cup of black tea sat on the round table before him, while three figures sat opposite him: Katakuri, Smoothie, and Perospero.
Since Big Mom Charlotte Linlin still had to chat with and see off the other guests attending the tea party, she could not come over for the time being. She could only have three of her children keep Sephiroth company.
But...
How should they put it?
Of the three, Katakuri was not good with words, while Smoothie and Perospero had also had some unpleasantness with Sephiroth during the tea party.
As a result, the atmosphere in the room was extremely awkward and quiet. Neither side had anything to say...
After quite some time, the chocolate door to the reception room opened with a click. Smiling, Big Mom Charlotte Linlin walked in from the corridor and dropped herself into the deliberately vacant seat between Katakuri and Perospero.
"Alright! The delightful tea party is over. Now, let's discuss business!"
Though Big Mom Charlotte Linlin still wore a smile as she spoke, her gaze suddenly became much sharper.
"Sephiroth... I know your relationship with Umbrella Corporation is far more complicated than it appears!"
"Oh? Then please, tell me more..."
Sephiroth remained unmoved. He picked up the black tea before him and took a light sip.
"Mr. K... That name should not be unfamiliar to you, should it?"
Big Mom Charlotte Linlin's tone gradually sank, and the smile on her face became somewhat teasing.
Just as expected! What I did fifty years ago really left behind quite a mess and a massive impact... Sephiroth muttered inwardly, though he put on a puzzled expression.
"Mr. K? I feel like I've heard of him, yet perhaps I haven't..."
