Five figures suddenly appeared out of thin air in midair. Their bodies plummeted straight down, eventually crashing heavily into the ruins of Oden Castle and kicking up a cloud of dust.
The five were Momonosuke, Kin'emon, Raizo, Kankuro, and Kikunojo. In order to reclaim Wano Country from the Beasts Pirates, they had traveled through time from Sea Calendar 1502, twenty years ago, to Sea Calendar 1522 with the help of Lady Toki's Time-Time Fruit.
"This is...?"
Kin'emon climbed out of the ruins and looked around at the crumbling, aged ruins of the castle. The shock in his heart was beyond words.
"Waaah! Mother, where are you!?"
Seeing the ruins all around him, Momonosuke burst into tears and ran into the distance.
Seeing this, the four retainers feared something might happen to him. They had no time to consider the many doubts in their hearts and hurried after him, hoping to calm him down.
After Momonosuke ran some distance and left the ruins of Oden Castle, he suddenly saw more than a dozen old wooden grave markers standing upright.
After reading the inscriptions on the gravestones—"Grave of Kozuki Oden," "Grave of Kozuki Momonosuke," "Grave of Raizo," and so on—he froze in place. The four retainers behind him did the same.
Raizo's eyes widened in disbelief.
"These are... our graves!?"
"And judging from how weathered these gravestones are, they have to be at least ten or twenty years old..." Kankuro said thoughtfully.
"It seems Lady Toki's power was real. She sent us twenty years into the future..."
Kin'emon first glanced at the gravestones, then took advantage of the elevated location of Oden Castle's ruins to look down toward the town of Kuri at the foot of the mountain.
Immediately, rows of ruined, collapsed buildings entered his sight.
