Lu Ze concluded that Lu Zhengjie had no such system, then offered to advise him on training Slaking as the chapter ended with Lu Zhengjie determined to catch the Slakoth.

Lu Zhengjie’s Machamp defeated Skorski’s Incineroar with a Flame Orb-boosted Cross Chop, then traded knockouts with Dolbis Rodriguez’s Golurk. The battle continued as Lu Zhengjie sent out Lucario.

• Machamp knocked out Skorski’s Incineroar with one Cross Chop, and Liu Xiangjun explained how its Flame Orb and [Guts] enabled the attack.
• Skorski accused Liu Xiangjun of favoritism, so Lilligant bound his mouth and Liu Xiangjun invited another student to battle.
• Dolbis Rodriguez introduced himself as Old Dog and sent out Golurk to face Machamp.
• Golurk’s [No Guard] let it trade attacks with Machamp, and both Pokémon fell at the same time.
• After Liu Xiangjun explained the strategy behind Golurk’s attack, Lu Zhengjie sent out Lucario for the next match.

Lu Zhengjie’s Lucario battled Old Dog’s Vikavolt, whose Sticky Web setup limited Lucario’s options. Lucario’s unexpected Dig and Lu Zhengjie’s Rock Tomb strategy turned the fight around, leaving Vikavolt trapped as their final attacks collided.

• Old Dog used Vikavolt’s Sticky Web to restrict Lucario’s movement, then prepared a boosted electric attack while Lu Zhengjie chose not to switch Pokémon.
• Lucario avoided Vikavolt’s Thunderbolt by using the unexpected Dig, surprising Old Dog and the spectators.

Sikong Ling was left dazed after mistaking Angula’s attention to his pink hair for affection, while she explained that she had boosted Hydreigon mainly to make its Surf waves bigger.

• Old Dog sent out Tyrunt, but surrendered before it battled when Lu Zhengjie revealed Lopunny.
• Angula volunteered for a battle, and Sikong Ling eagerly stepped forward, believing her smile meant she liked him.

Liu Xiangjun had Sui Yan and Fugui demonstrate rebuilt Sandstorm and Sunny Teams to help prove Lu Ze’s planned paper. Fugui explained his Sandstorm lineup, and Sui Yan presented a Sunny Team that left the students trying to object as he recalled his Pokémon.

• Liu Xiangjun explained the weaknesses of monotype teams and Weather Teams, then asked Sui Yan and Fugui to demonstrate their team compositions.
