Chapter Summaries

Lu Ze prepared food and liquor for a New Year gathering with Kyurem, bringing Mewtwo and his frightened younger brother, Lu Zhengjie, through Hoopa’s Golden Ring. The group settled in to eat and drink, while Kyurem tried to toughen Lu Zhengjie up.

• Lu Ze told Mewtwo that Kyurem was as powerful as Rayquaza, then went out with Lu Zhengjie to buy food and liquor.
• Lu Zhengjie panicked when Lu Ze revealed that Kyurem was the Legendary Pokémon said to have destroyed a country, and asked whether they needed to bring tribute.
• Lu Ze bought braised meat, pork knuckles, cold dishes, and barbecue, while Zhuge Ziyu arranged several cases of Hongxing Erguotou.
• Lu Ze, Lu Zhengjie, and Mewtwo traveled through Hoopa’s Golden Ring to meet Kyurem, Hoopa, Darkrai, and Snorlax.
• Lu Ze introduced Lu Zhengjie and Mewtwo, then assigned drinks to the group as Lu Zhengjie nervously asked whether Kyurem would eat him.
• Kyurem denied eating people, handed Lu Zhengjie a bottle of Erguotou, and urged him to drink and become braver.

Lu Ze hosted a drinking gathering with Kyurem, Mewtwo, Lu Zhengjie, and the others, which ended with most of them getting drunk. Hoopa sent Lu Ze and the group back, where Lu Ze settled the unconscious drinkers into the institute’s temporary dormitories and went to fetch water.

• Lu Zhengjie and Mewtwo each downed a bottle of erguotou, then joined Kyurem in drinking and trading stories.
• Mewtwo told Kyurem that he had narrowly lost a fight with Rayquaza, and the three began competing to drink more.
• By mid-afternoon, Lu Zhengjie, Mewtwo, Kyurem, and Snorlax were drunk, while Darkrai remained sober; Victini passed out after secretly taking one sip of baijiu.
• Kyurem refused to leave, so Hoopa opened a Golden Ring and sent Lu Ze and the others back without him, leaving Kyurem to sleep over.

Lu Ze returned from the research institute with Victini and a filthy Dratini, then brought the sleeping Lu Zhengjie home. After bathing Dratini and himself, he asked Lu Xingguo about the New Year visits planned for the next day.

• Mewtwo sobered up and worked with Lu Ze while Crobat battled Patterned Primarina and later shared combat experience with Patterned Crobat.
• Victini joined Lu Ze at the office, admitted through Mewtwo that he wanted to stay with Lu Ze, and secretly planned to drink again.
• Lu Ze returned to the Breeding Garden, where Crobat carried the dirty Eevees to Milotic's wife for baths and Lu Ze packed Dratini to take home.
• Lu Ze found Lu Zhengjie still asleep, brought him home with Lucario's help, and washed Dratini, who splashed him and then went to beg Liu Xiangjun for food.
• Lu Xingguo told Lu Ze that he would visit the Zhuge family, the Wang Family, and Mo Anguo's house the next day, and Lu Ze planned to visit the Wang Family last.

Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie visited Wang Yi for the Lunar New Year and discovered that his Venusaur was powerful enough to rival Latios. The chapter ended as Wang Yi learned that Lu Ze and his grandson Wang Xingqiu had met before.

• Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie visited Zhuge Ziyu and Mo Anguo to give New Year greetings before heading to Wang Yi's home.
• Wang Xingqiu opened the gate and revealed that Wang Yi was his grandfather, then led Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie inside.
• Lu Zhengjie used his Aura ability to sense that Wang Yi's Venusaur was even stronger than Latios, and Lu Ze checked its information with his system.
• Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie greeted Wang Yi, who introduced his grandson Wang Xingqiu.
• Wang Xingqiu told Wang Yi that he and Lu Ze had met before, surprising the old man.

Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie visited Wang Yi, whose granddaughter Wang Lingran happily played with Snorlax while the adults examined their Pokémon. Wang Yi sensed an additional Pokémon among Lu Ze’s companions, and Lu Ze realized it might be the invisible Deoxys.

• Wang Lingran recognized Lu Ze as Snorlax’s big brother and took Snorlax outside to play while Charizard kept her warm.
• Wang Yi asked Lu Ze to show his Pokémon, and Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie released their teams.
• Wang Yi admired Lu Ze’s Shiny Pokémon and examined the others, including Zorua and Dratini.

Wang Xingqiu learned that Zhuge Zijing had bought every Mega Stone in his household and stormed off to challenge Zhuge Ling, while Lu Ze surprised Wang Yi by knowing Zhuge Ling had joined the army.

• Lu Ze introduced Deoxys as an extraterrestrial Pokémon and explained that Rayquaza had defeated him in their fight.

Lu Ze and Old Master Wang Yi discussed Zhuge Ling’s arrest before Wang Yi left to confront Zhuge Zijing, leaving Lu Ze to take Wang Lingran and Lu Zhengjie out. Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie went to a Pokémon Store to find Lu Zhengjie’s sixth Pokémon, and ended the chapter considering unknown Pokémon Eggs as a cheaper alternative to the pricey starters.

• Lu Ze told Old Master Wang Yi how Zhuge Ling’s plan had gone wrong, and Wang Yi decided to confront Zhuge Zijing.
• Lu Ze agreed to take Wang Lingran and Lu Zhengjie out, and Lu Zhengjie chose to look for another Fighting-type Pokémon.
• Wang Lingran rode Snorlax and played with Zorua while Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie searched for a Pokémon Store.

Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie searched several Pokémon Stores for Starter Pokémon Eggs, while Lu Ze discovered that Wang Lingran could hear Pokémon and suspected she had Viridian Force. They headed to the Pokémon Main Store to continue searching, as Grandpa Wang Yi caught Zhuge Zijing hiding at home.

• Lu Ze searched the first store with Lu Zhengjie, found a Snivy Egg, and selected Totodile, Growlithe, and Axew Eggs as well.
• Wang Lingran brought Pachirisu along after Pachirisu agreed to go with her, and Lu Ze suspected the girl had Viridian Force.
• Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie entered another store while Wang Lingran stayed outside with Snorlax; at home, Grandpa Wang Yi cornered Zhuge Zijing behind a sofa.
• Lu Ze found a Tepig Egg for Lu Zhengjie and selected Ralts, Squirtle, Cyndaquil, Nidoran♂, and Druddigon Eggs at the store.

Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie visited the Pokémon Main Store to choose Pokémon Eggs, while Wang Lingran asked to raise a Pokémon of her own. Wang Xingqiu rushed to the store after mistaking Lu Ze’s prank call for a kidnapping, then agreed to let his sister choose two Pokémon.

• Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie searched the Pokémon Main Store’s sixth floor and selected Swablu, Piplup, Cyndaquil, and Horsea Eggs.
• Wang Lingran asked Lu Ze if she could have a Pokémon, and he called Wang Xingqiu to ask permission.
• Lu Ze joked that Wang Lingran was in his hands, prompting Wang Xingqiu to rush to the store with Zhuge Ling.

• Victini woke up and felt reluctant about leaving Lu Ze again, but cheered up after remembering they could video call.
• Wang Lingran asked Lu Ze what Pokémon she should get, and Wang Xingqiu offered to find her one that was strong, pretty, and could grow alongside her.

• Lu Ze told Lu Zhengjie to invest his savings in the auction and promised to split the profits with him.
• Lu Ze refused Wang Xingqiu's request to trade for the Pseudo-legendary Pokémon Egg because his mother had already announced it for auction.
• Lu Zhengjie brought Mewtwo to guard the Pokémon Store after learning Mewtwo would be paid.
• The auction began with a Swablu Egg selling for 1.1 million and a Torchic Egg advertised as having an eighty percent chance of Speed Boost selling for 780,000.

Poachers seized the auction and restrained the attendees, but Mewtwo and Deoxys quickly subdued them. Lu Ze left the aftermath to the newly promoted assistant manager while the police were expected to arrive.

• Poachers led by a bearded man ambushed the auction after Zhuge Ling won the Goomy Egg, restraining the attendees and demanding the auction money.
• Lu Ma alerted Lu Ba, who summoned Latios and Deoxys, while Lu Ze went to the store with Deoxys and Lu Ba searched for Mewtwo.
• Mewtwo paralyzed the Beedrill, stopped the bearded man's bullet with Psychic power, and lifted the poachers into the air.
• Zhuge Ling calmed the crowd, and Latios arrived and recognized Mewtwo, while Deoxys prevented the captives from escaping after Mewtwo left.
• Lu Ze asked the assistant manager to handle the aftermath, and Deoxys took the poachers outside as the police were expected to arrive.

Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie took their Pokémon on a winter outing to a lakeside clearing, where they watched the Pokémon play and discovered an unusually showy Totodile. The chapter ended as one of the Magikarp Totodile was spinning with Water Gun began to evolve.

• Lu Zhengjie thanked Mewtwo with a bonus, then took his Pokémon shopping for snacks and food for the unhatched Torchic.
• Latios begged Lu Ze to bring him along on the outing, and Lu Ze's group traveled to a lakeside clearing to camp.
• Slakoth settled beside a Slowpoke, while Totodile repeatedly showed off by diving into the lake.
• Dratini played with a Buizel and evaded an angry Floatzel, while Zorua faced off against a Psyduck in a head-tilting contest.
• Lu Ze's and Lu Zhengjie's Pokémon relaxed by the water as Crawdaunt went fishing and Totodile returned with five Magikarp.
• Totodile spun the Magikarp through the air with Water Gun, and Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie noticed one of them evolving.

Lu Ze and his companions waited at a camping site to draw out a Church assassin, while his Pokémon dealt with the aftermath of Gyarados’s evolution. When the sniper finally approached, Lu Ze spotted him riding a Swellow with a rifle, leaving Darkrai’s ambush uncertain.

• Gyarados evolved after Totodile’s antics, then roared at Totodile before Deoxys pushed him underwater and Crobat brought Totodile back unharmed.
• Lu Ze recalled Zhuge Ziyu’s plan to use camping as bait for a Church Cardinal sniper and recruited Latios, Darkrai, and Lu Ba’s help.
• While waiting, Lu Ze considered adding a healer to his team and checked on Totodile after Crobat returned with it.
• Zhuge Ziyu warned Lu Ze that the Church member was heading toward him, and Lu Ze spread his Aura to locate the approaching man.
• Lu Ze shared the sniper’s location with Darkrai, who vanished into the shadows, but the man soon appeared on a Swellow carrying a large sniper rifle.

Lu Ze and his family captured the Church assassin, then spent the day at the lake while Lu Zhengjie decided to enter a competition. The next morning, Victini told Lu Ze that he was leaving that day, leaving Lu Ze startled and sad.

• Darkrai put the middle-aged assassin and Swellow to sleep, and Lu Ze sent Zhuge Ziyu their location.
• Zhuge Ziyu and Lu Ba took the captured assassin away, while Lu Ze and Lu Zhengjie returned to relaxing by the lake.
• A Church leader discussed the Zero-Zero Plan and vowed to steal from the United States in revenge for its theft of Yveltal.
• Lu Zhengjie raced Crawdaunt in the lake, lost, and told Lu Ze he planned to compete in an Upper Capital event the next day.

• Mewtwo told Latios his intimacy with Lu Ze was too low for Mega Evolution, and Latios insisted they try again the next day.
• Latios followed Lu Ze around to build intimacy, but Mewtwo eventually threw him out of the office for laughing too loudly.
• Latios pestered Lu Ze throughout the day, while Dratini kept a wary eye on him.
• Lu Ze returned home and learned Lu Zhengjie had passed the elimination rounds but would face Sui Yan in the official competition.
• Lu Ze called Zhuge Ziyu, who approved teaching Lu Zhengjie Mega Evolution as a chance to publicize it.
