Cold sweat soaked his back as Xun Uchiha abruptly reached out to stop the Electric Eel.
A dead end?
His gaze swept ahead. The beast was slowly opening its blood-red maw, lined with razor-sharp teeth. Its forty-meter-long mouth looked like the gates of hell. A mad plan took shape in his mind-if he could hide inside its mouth, perhaps its body cavity could shield him from the pressure outside. But how could he avoid being swallowed and digested?
With his life hanging by a thread, there was no time to hesitate.
"Big Electric, forget the tail!" Xun Uchiha roared through clenched teeth. "Head into its mouth!"
Though the Electric Eel hesitated, it instinctively adjusted its position and swiftly swam toward that all-devouring maw.
Sensing something approaching, the beast flicked its feelers contemptuously, then opened its fifty-meter-wide, flattened maw and sucked fiercely.
In an instant, the surrounding seawater became a terrifying whirlpool, mercilessly dragging Xun Uchiha and the Electric Eel toward its abyssal throat.
"Time Slow!"
Xun Uchiha shouted the command amid the chaotic currents.
It was as though someone had pressed the world's Slow-Motion Button. The churning currents froze in midair like motionless crystal sculptures. Forcing down his pounding fear, Xun Uchiha clamped his right hand around a sharp fang three meters tall and held the Electric Eel tightly with his left, preventing its momentum from carrying it deeper inside.
The command was released.
Time resumed its flow.
