Before the words had faded, two blazing white beams shot from Little White's eyes, stabbing like swords toward the enormous beast writhing in agony.
His screams cut off abruptly, replaced by the teeth-grating crunch of shattering bones.
White vapor billowed from the Peacock King's body. Under the bombardment of heat and light, his once-indestructible shell rapidly disintegrated. His hard bones turned to powder that rose like gray smoke and dispersed, leaving a scorched smell in the air.
He recoiled in terror, each step leaving deep claw marks in the ground, until his back slammed against the wall with a heavy crash.
"Roar!"
It was a roar of despair. He seemed to sense some terror deep within his soul, and his body began to undergo a bizarre transformation. His flesh and muscles seemed to lose their cohesion, slowly flowing down the wall and seeping into it.
Then his enormous, scale-covered hands, along with the giant blade clutched in them, began to turn transparent and indistinct.
Within a few breaths, his massive body melted like a wax figure, merging completely into the solid stone wall and vanishing without a trace. Only deathly silence remained in the chamber.
"Strange." Fayan Luo's brow furrowed. "He isn't afraid of fire, but he fears sunlight? That makes no sense."
Little Bird did not answer immediately. Instead, she hurried toward Xun Uchiha in the corner. She extended her hand, a gentle glow rising from her palm, and lightly covered the mangled wound on his left arm.
As energy flowed into it, the calcium in his shattered bones gathered and fused again. The fractures were forcibly sealed, forming a perfectly intact arm bone.
"Fifty tons..." Xun Uchiha drew a deep breath, thrust with both arms, and sprang up from the rubble-strewn ground below. He flexed his newly
