She hovered before the enormous moon, her emerald eyes utterly still, holding only a bottomless chill. She looked down indifferently at the city about to be destroyed, her gaze empty and detached, as though everything in the world were no more than a speck of dust. Her otherworldly loneliness was like ancient ice, freezing heaven and earth and cutting her off completely from this clamorous world.
Just as the crushing thunder was about to strike the ruins, she slowly raised her right hand.
Her five fingers gently unfurled, the movement supremely elegant yet imbued with the authority to command everything.

Space collapsed. An invisible force piled up in waves between heaven and earth. Some unseen blade sliced wildly through the air, producing a grating series of tiny cracks.
