It may not reproduce them perfectly, but it might create a convincing enough imitation to briefly deceive their automated verification mechanisms."

He looked at everyone. "This is not a plan we will execute immediately, but it can serve as a long-term, high-priority research direction. For now, we have three more important things to do."

"First, comprehensively upgrade the existential reinforcement of the civilizations within the network, especially defenses against the Paintbrush's overwrite patterns. Use the overwrite template library data acquired this time to develop targeted Definition Resilience Enhancement measures."

"Second, strengthen our early-warning research into the Eraser protocol. Since it has been listed as a contingency against us, we must prepare in advance and seek out its possible weaknesses or methods of interference."

"Third," Lin Ye paused, "continue limited information exchanges with the Shadow of Paradox. It seems to know more than it lets on. We can use some appropriately processed data from this battle with the Paintbrush to probe it and exchange it for more fragmented intelligence about the Archivist, the Eraser, or the Blueprint's structure. But be exceedingly careful. It may very well be using us to test the Scavenger system's responses."
