"Prepare for takeoff!" Hirwa lightly touched an inconspicuous rune on the aircraft's surface. The entire Cloud-Clearing Ship immediately emitted a low hum, and the patterns along its hull began to glow like a flowing river of stars.
Following Hirwa's instructions, Lin Ye, Robin, Ace, and Sabo took their seats in the four positions surrounding the central control console inside the aircraft. The seats were remarkably comfortable, as though they could automatically adjust to fit each passenger's body.
"This is practically a work of art." Sabo ran his fingers over the intricate carvings on the armrest, his voice full of admiration.
"Birka's craftsmen believe practicality and aesthetics should be equally valued." Hirwa settled into the central pilot's seat and placed his hands on two glowing spherical controls. "Fasten your seat belts. We're about to cross the countercurrent zone."
With a faint tremor, the Cloud-Clearing Ship slowly rose into the air, hovering above the deck of the Gale. The crew gazed up at the wondrous aircraft in amazement. For many of them, it was their first time witnessing a creation of the Sky Civilization with their own eyes.
