"Most people believe the Void is some kind of evil invading force, but the truth is far more complicated." Rayleigh pointed to a page containing a detailed illustration of two interlocking spheres. "The Void is actually another dimension that exists parallel to our reality, with its own laws and forms of life."
Lin Ye looked at the diagram in astonishment. "You mean it isn't trying to destroy us, but..."
"That's right." Rayleigh nodded. "According to ancient records, our universe has a cyclical phenomenon. Every few thousand years, the two dimensions enter an 'Overlap Period,' and the boundary between them becomes blurred. This is a natural occurrence, like the ebb and flow of the tides."
He turned to the next page, where a Star Chart formed by Seven Keys had been drawn. "During the last Overlap Period, the Ancient Civilization discovered these Seven Keys. Each represented a specific element or concept. Together, they could create an energy field that reinforced the Dimensional Barrier, preventing the two worlds from completely merging and destroying each other."
"But if this is only a natural phenomenon, why are the Void's powers acting so aggressively now?" Lin Ye asked in confusion.
Rayleigh's expression turned grave. "Because this time is different. Some entity is trying to accelerate and distort the process, forcibly tearing open the Dimensional Barrier instead of waiting for the natural Overlap Period to end. That's why the Void powers we see are so chaotic and dangerous—they're being forced into our world
