Within the Fleet Safe Passage, the purple mist had grown thinner, but more corrosive. The Purple Patterns on the hull began spreading faster. The Void Creatures also became restless. Some began approaching the ships, lightly tapping the hulls with their tentacles or fins, as though testing the strength of these unfamiliar objects.
"They can sense the energy of the Seven Keys," Rayleigh explained. "They haven't shown any obvious hostility yet, but we'd best stay alert."
Lin Ye and Ace remained in a state of Energy Resonance, maintaining the Protection Field around them. The resonance drained a tremendous amount of their energy and stamina.
"Hold on a little longer," Lin Ye told Ace, noticing the sweat on his forehead. "I can feel the mist's boundary just ahead."
Ace nodded with effort, his arm trembling slightly from holding the same position for so long. He could feel an unfamiliar energy flowing through his body—it was a type of Void Energy, yet unlike the kind within Lin Ye. It felt more like a hybrid existence, possessing both the depths of the Void and the vitality of flame.
The Dawn continued through the purple fog. The key energy surrounding the vessel formed an invisible protective shield, temporarily fending off the harassment of the Void Creatures. As they went deeper into the safe passage, the number of those creatures gradually decreased, but the intensity of the Energy Fluctuations continued to rise, as if they were drawing closer to the source of some power.
"Careful! There's an abnormal energy fluctuation ahead!" the lookout suddenly shouted.
Everyone turned their eyes forward. A brilliant ray of light had suddenly appeared within the purple mist, like a beacon in the night, showing them the way.
"Is that... Laugh Tale's Energy Barrier?" Dragon asked with a frown.
Rayleigh shook his
