"Extreme?" Beta's laughter was harsh and cold. "When dealing with enemies who threaten the Alliance's existence, nothing is too extreme!"
"But that region still contains countless innocent civilizations and lives." Theta, the Eighth Creator, tried to stop the resolution. "We cannot sacrifice the lives of an entire starfield just to eliminate one target."
"Innocent?" Black light flickered in Delta's eyes. "Any existence connected to the Alliance's enemies is a potential threat. Eliminating them is a necessary precaution."
This logic shocked the moderate members present. They began to realize that their colleagues' way of thinking was undergoing a terrifying change.
"I oppose this proposal." Epsilon stated her position firmly. "The Alliance exists to maintain order, not to create destruction."
"I oppose it as well." Zeta and Theta spoke at the same time. "This approach completely goes against the Alliance's founding purpose."
However, the supporters' voices were stronger. Driven by the Consciousness Seed, the radicals held an absolute advantage.
"Put it to a vote." Alpha announced. "All those in favor of activating the Ultimate Purification Protocol, raise your hands."
Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Iota, the Ninth Creator, Kappa, the Tenth Creator, Lambda, the Eleventh Creator, and Mu, the Twelfth Creator, raised their hands in favor.
"Those opposed, raise your hands."
Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, and Theta raised their hands in opposition.
"Seven votes in favor, four against." Alpha announced the result. "The Ultimate Purification Protocol has passed."
The passage of this resolution marked the Alliance's formal internal split. Though the moderate members outwardly complied with the decision, they had already developed serious doubts about the organization's direction.
"Since the resolution has passed, we need to formulate a concrete action plan." Beta began assigning tasks. "First, mobilize every available Creator."
"Including those ancient recluses?" Iota asked.
"Everyone, without exception." Delta's answer allowed no argument.
