Kaido had been in a foul mood when Yamato brought her club down on his knee, glaring at the daughter he had raised like a son.

Yamato landed and swung her spiked club three times, striking Kaido's shins.
But attacks like that did not even count as a scratch.

Kaido sent Yamato flying with a punch, then grabbed the gourd beside him and took a huge swig.
"If that brat can do it, then so can I."
Kaido snorted and directly began competing with Lin Ye across the Void.
Then, the newly reassembled Beasts Pirates, along with Ulti and the others, watched Kaido transform into an Azure Dragon and shoot into the sky.
By now, though, they were used to it.
After all, over the past three years or so, Kaido had often run off to cause havoc across the Grand Line before returning.

A gigantic pirate ship was sailing at high speed.
Rayleigh sat in one corner of the ship, staring grimly at the newspaper in his hands.
Shakky sat on the railing beside him, her gaze also falling on the newspaper.
"The Sabaody Archipelago has been destroyed."
Rayleigh let out a breath.
"My bar had just opened!"
Shakky's expression darkened at his words.
The Sabaody Archipelago had actually been a pretty good place.
As a former resident of Amazon Lily, Shakky had some resistance to returning there.
"You still care about your bar? What I'm saying is that the Marines mobilized such a massive force, yet not only did they fail to keep him there, an Admiral even died."
Rayleigh turned to Shakky speechlessly.
"Didn't we already guess that? Lin Ye may be young, but everyone who has fought him has been a top-tier powerhouse, and he won every time."
