He fumbled to steady his backpack, his heart pounding as if it were about to burst from his chest.

His face went deathly pale as he turned around stiffly. When he saw that Chi Tong was standing behind him, Xiangtian Yanyi clutched her chest and gasped for air, her voice still trembling.

"Ah, Captain Tong?"

"So it was you. You scared me half to death. That nearly scared the soul out of me."

Chi Tong's face remained expressionless, his demeanor as calm as if nothing had happened. He merely glanced at her before walking past her.

As he passed the basketball rack, Chi Tong picked up a basketball and lightly dribbled it twice with his fingers. Without looking back, he spoke.

After saying that, he carried the basketball toward the hoop at one side of the court. Xiangtian Yanyi stood there blinking, the panic in her heart instantly replaced by confusion.
