Discussing the Dao with Bodhi

"Sage!"

Bodhi spoke. The black-robed young man before him always left him with a lingering sense of dread. It was best not to provoke him.

"No need for formalities. Say what you came to say."

Only after accepting Bodhi's bow did Ye Zhuo speak.

"I have come for one reason alone: the journey west. Bringing the scriptures east is a great undertaking agreed upon by both sides, one that will affect countless changes in the future.

"If we do not use it to work out what lies ahead, this world may collapse. Past evidence indicates that only the journey west can deliver all living beings and allow us to survive the final tribulation."

Bodhi explained calmly, saying little beyond how important the tribulation was and how the journey west had to proceed.

He asked the Demon Ancestor, the Great Demon Heaven, to do them this favor. Such words were enough to wear calluses on a listener's ears.

Ye Zhuo quietly spread his hands, revealing two Buddha Kingdoms in the Palm as his sleeves became universes.

The two Buddha kingdoms transformed into simulated versions of the Western Cattle Continent and the Southern Jambu Continent.

Within them unfolded a journey to the west.

Patriarch Bodhi gradually fell silent, watching the evolution of this great divine ability.

The master and his three disciples successfully retrieved the scriptures, attaining Buddhahood and the Dao.

Then, tens of thousands of years later...

The Journey to the West World suffered a calamity. Countless meteors rained down from the heavens, smashing the land to pieces.

Living beings knelt on the ground, only to be collected by Spirit Mountain and the Heavenly Court to help them survive the tribulation.

The heavenly tribulation approached.

Living souls were treated as living offerings and sacrificed outright.

At last, a new era began.
