Weekend.
Tatsuya Sakuya was wrapped in a blanket, lying on a bed in dormitory 217, watching Grand Blue on his tablet and laughing so hard he rolled around.
Inside the screen, Iori Kitahara poured 96-proof Water of Life vodka and Scotch blended whisky into a cup at a nine-to-one ratio.
Then he mixed them with a stirring stirrer, the liquid taking on an amber tea-like color that looked just like oolong tea, which everyone called Flammable Oolong Tea.
The next second, Iori Kitahara pulled out a lighter and ignited the cup, a pale blue flame surging upward instantly as the firelight flickered across the room.
This stuff... could you really mix it in real life? Huh, maybe I should buy some back and try it?
Tatsuya Sakuya grew instantly interested, a mischievous streak taking hold of him as he pushed off the blanket, rolled out of bed, changed his clothes, and pushed open the door to leave the dormitory.
Keyaki Mall.
Advanced Nurturing University operated under a completely enclosed management system, and the mall offered an extremely rich variety of goods, ranging from affordable fast-food products to expensive luxury counters, with even imported items readily available.
Tatsuya Sakuya pushed a shopping cart, weaving through the dazzling array of shops.
"Hello student, is there anything you need help finding? We just received our newest batch of fresh-cut Hokkaido Wagyu beef. The meat is tender and the quality is exceptional. Would you like to take a look?"
A salesclerk in uniform approached him with a smile.
"Thank you, I don't need any right now. Could you tell me which section the chicken legs and alcoholic beverages are in?"
Tatsuya Sakuya politely declined the Wagyu. His goal for today was to prepare a Shaxian Snacks meal and try mixing up some Flammable Oolong Tea.
"Just follow this main aisle straight into the depths of the supermarket, and turn right at the fresh produce and refrigerated section sign."
"There are fresh chicken legs inside the freezers. After buying those, walk back a short distance and turn left at the intersection. The entire area is the liquor section. If you can't find it along the way, feel free to ask nearby staff."
The clerk pointed one hand toward the end of the aisle while patiently explaining.
First this way, then that way, and then this way.
Tatsuya Sakuya figured he understood roughly, and following the clerk's instructions, he pushed the cart straight toward the fresh produce section.
He skillfully selected a few fresh large chicken legs with bright colors and plump sizes, then walked over to the seasoning aisle.
He took down a bag of special braising spice mix containing star anise, cinnamon, bay leaves, and various other spices, and finally picked out a few round farm eggs, grabbing a handful of emerald-green bok choy along the way.
Having been at the school for so many days, this was his first time cooking for himself.
Tatsuya Sakuya looked at the ingredients in the shopping cart, feeling quite satisfied.
After gathering the main staple ingredients, he turned his cart and walked leisurely toward the liquor section.
Rows of refrigerated wine cabinets stood along the shelves, with various imported sakes and fruit wines neatly displayed.
Tatsuya Sakuya slowed his pace, his gaze sweeping across the shelves as he searched for the vodka and whiskey needed for the Flammable Oolong Tea.
96-proof Water of Life vodka... the ignition point was definitely high enough, but the proof was so high that drinking it directly would probably be too much to handle, and he still needed to balance the disguise effect for drinking.
He focused entirely on studying the ingredient list.
Just as he reached out to pick up a bottle of 96-proof vodka to put into the shopping cart, his peripheral vision swept past the neighboring affordable liquor shelf.
A somewhat familiar slender figure was standing there.
Wasn't that Kamuro Masumi from Class 1-A?
Her purple-black long hair was tied into a side ponytail on the right, and her eyes exuded indifference.
Tatsuya Sakuya immediately turned on his phone's video recorder, aimed it at the girl in front of him, and started audio recording.
She didn't act immediately, scanning both sides of the aisle nonchalantly to make sure no one was nearby.
Then she looked up toward the ceiling, hiding in a surveillance blind spot, and precisely picked up a can of beer, slipped it into the pocket of her uniform, and then picked up something random to check out normally and walk out of the mall.
The whole process was as smooth as flowing water, completed in one go, and everything was recorded by the phone.
No way, bro, you're this bold, playing zero-yuan purchases in the supermarket in broad daylight.
Tatsuya Sakuya witnessed the entire process, a man who knew everything.
This was a pretty good opportunity; should he choose to follow her, or should he choose to follow her?
Tatsuya Sakuya chose to follow her.
After checking out, Sakuya carried his shopping bags, following behind Kamuro Masumi unhurriedly.
Until they reached a corner.
"Stalker student, ever since we left the supermarket you've been following me. You've trailed me the whole way. What on earth are you trying to do? Could it be that you have a secret crush on this young lady?"
Kamuro Masumi leaned against the wall around the corner, having long since noticed that Tatsuya Sakuya was tracking her.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Tatsuya Sakuya from Class 1-D."
Tatsuya Sakuya spoke up.
"Is this starting already? Stalking a beautiful girl for no reason is extremely impolite, so I refuse."
Kamuro Masumi began to grow certain that the boy in front of her might genuinely be trying to hit on her.
"Beautiful girl student, why would you do something like steal? Your points should be plenty to spend, right?"
Tatsuya Sakuya went straight to the point, putting Kamuro Masumi's theft out in the open.
"That can of beer in your pocket hasn't been paid for."
???
What kind of situation was this? There was clearly nobody around.
How did this guy know?
"What on earth are you talking about? The people who want to chase me line up from here all the way to France. If you want to hit on me, use a better excuse. If you have no evidence, I'll sue you for defamation!!"
Kamuro Masumi's CPU melted down, and she wanted to muddle through by talking nonsense.
"You can take the beer out of your pocket."
"I refuse! Why should I do whatever you tell me to?!"
Faced with Kamuro Masumi's muddling behavior, Tatsuya Sakuya decided to pull out his phone and wave the screen at her.
He pressed the play button.
On the screen was the entire process of her nabbing the beer at the liquor counter; the time, place, and person were all crystal clear.
"Beautiful girl student, you wouldn't want other people to find out about your stealing, right? You wouldn't want things to develop in a bad direction, right? You wouldn't want to get expelled, right?"
Tatsuya Sakuya unleashed a combo of three killer questions.
Kamuro Masumi lost her previous arrogance, her complexion turning pale as she didn't know what to do for a moment.
She remembered that Sakura Nation live-action films often had similar plots, where the female lead was threatened and then forced to do all sorts of outrageous things.
"Despicable, cheesy, base, low-class, perverted, gross man, I'm going to fight you to the death."
She was on the verge of tears.
"Hey hey hey, don't cry."
Sensing the situation was going south, Tatsuya Sakuya immediately lowered his posture.
"If there's something to discuss, can't we talk it out properly?"
"The things you just said... I've seen them in adult videos. You just want to do weird things to me."
"I can delete the video, but first you have to help me with a favor."
"What favor?"
Hearing that there was room for redemption, Kamuro Masumi adjusted her emotions.
"First you have to help me carry these things back to the dorm."
Tatsuya Sakuya placed the whiskey, vodka, and the groceries he had bought directly into her hands.
"Hold them properly for me."
Kamuro Masumi had no choice, so she could only obey obediently and take the items into her hands.
During the few minutes of walking back to the dormitory building, her mind had already rehearsed at least ten kinds of vicious developments.
Threats, point extortion, or some kind of unspeakable transaction...
Her right hand remained placed inside her coat pocket from start to finish.
If this guy from Class 1-D dared to make any out-of-line moves, she would not hesitate to smash the cold beer can in her hand against him and fight him to the death.
