Bartholomew Kuma and Ginny (2)

This bouquet of flowers was just like Ginny's love. Seeing Ginny so dejected, Kuma's heart ached terribly. He believed he was doing this for her own good.

Kuma wanted to help Ginny up, but she waved him away.

"Kuma."

"Can you tell me why?"

Ginny still unwillingly questioned Kuma. Kuma wanted to speak, but he did not know how to put it into words. He felt like he had something to say, yet he simply could not say it.

Ginny quietly waited for Kuma's answer, but a long time passed without a response.

Then Ginny slowly rose to her feet and left the church in disappointment.

Kuma watched Ginny's figure slowly recede. He saw her tears falling to the ground with every step she took.

At that moment, Kuma felt as though his heart were breaking.

I'm sorry, Ginny. I can't be this selfish.

Kuma continued apologizing in his heart.

The next second, the entire scene changed. Kuma looked around and found the place both unfamiliar and vaguely familiar.

Just then, Ivankov rushed in with an anxious expression.

Kuma saw that Ivankov had grown taller and become much more mature. He did not understand what had happened.

"Kuma! Ginny has been taken by the Celestial Dragons! They said they're going to forcibly make Ginny their wife!"

The moment those words fell, Kuma's curiosity was immediately swept away by the news.

Kuma's face turned anxious. He stared at Ivankov in disbelief. "What did you say?"

Kuma felt as though his heart had shattered. Ginny was the woman he loved most, yet she had been taken by the Celestial Dragons to become their wife. How could he possibly accept that?!

In the days that followed, Kuma could only feel that he had failed Ginny. He had lacked the strength to protect her.
