Seeing Moria leave, Queen tried to give chase, but a rope suddenly caught his leg. He found he could not break free. Below him stood a pirate in his thirties, holding the other end of the rope and sneering. "Trying to run? I'm a Paramecia String-String Fruit User! Once my rope catches you, you won't get loose so easily."
Another Devil Fruit User Mu Chen had never heard of. The String-String Fruit did not seem all that impressive; apparently, it could only snare people. Still, Mu Chen was interested in taking this unfamiliar Devil Fruit for himself. He's a pirate anyway. Why not?
Mu Chen considered killing the Devil Fruit User in secret. There was no reason to pass up free points, and since the man was a pirate, Mu Chen felt no guilt about it.
Besides, in the original story, all of Moria's crew died after Kaido defeated him. It would not really change the outcome.

Gecko Moria hovered overhead, the shadows behind him lashing out and stirring gusts of black wind.
He looked toward the distant battlefield. The shouts of his three hundred crewmen mingled with Queen's wild laughter. He had to end this fight quickly.
Moria was growing anxious. Then a voice boomed out. "Worororo! You left your men behind and came here alone? You've got nerve!"
Kaido's roar made the air tremble. The next moment, an enormous Azure Dragon soared into the clouds. Its vast body and searchlight-bright eyes sent a shiver through Moria.
