He raised an eyebrow at Ace's tense profile and said flatly, "Looks like Foosha Village treated you well. At least you're alive."
"How are you here?"
Ace's voice carried incredulous panic. The man before him had been like a childhood nightmare, and he still could not forget the devilish training Mu Chen had put the three of them through. They had suffered plenty because of it!
Just thinking about it made his body ache faintly.
Mu Chen peeled an orange and tossed the halves into his mouth, saying casually, "Your grandpa asked me to come. He wants me to drag his disobedient grandson back and teach him what justice means again."
"I'm not going back! I've already decided to become a pirate again. So what if you're a Marine admiral?"
"I'm not going back anyway."
The moment Ace heard Mu Chen's words, his face flushed bright red. Going back would be worse than death!
He waved his dagger at Mu Chen, though his voice lacked confidence.
Even so, Ace showed Mu Chen no courtesy whatsoever.
Seeing Ace so guarded, Mu Chen found it rather amusing.
Mu Chen raised an eyebrow and suddenly vanished from where he stood.
"Ace, you've really gotten bold. You actually dared pull a knife on me!"
Ace felt a chill at the back of his neck. The next second, he was pinned to the deck, his cheek pressed against the rough wood. Mu Chen's voice came from above him, carrying that familiar oppressive force.
"Your reactions have gotten so much slower, though. Did you feed all the techniques I taught you to the fish? Let me go!"
Ace struggled to break free, only to discover that an invisible force had suppressed all the strength in his body.
Seeing this, Mu Chen felt his mischievous side awaken.
