As Xi Zai slowly approached the precious stone, he crouched down and pressed a hand against its surface, examining the bloodstains beneath it.

A thin fissure split open from the top of the stone and swiftly spread across its entire surface.
Xi Zai's pupils contracted. Just as he tried to pull his hand back, two crimson glints flashed within the dark stone statue. His expression changed slightly, and he froze in place.
In less than half a second, he snapped out of his daze. But by the time he tried to retreat, it was already too late.
A terrifying face appeared before Xi Zai, vaguely human in shape, with two outward-curving fangs and a face like gold and stone.
Its gaping maw stretched nearly half a meter wide, biting off Xi Zai's upper body in one bite and swallowing it whole.
Blood sprayed everywhere, staining half the private room crimson. The overpowering stench of blood drove the two women to scream desperately.
Her slender, pale legs flailing wildly, the woman lying on the floor turned to look at the headless corpse, then desperately crawled toward the private room's door.
The stone completely shattered. Its flesh wings beat, and the violent wind left several people in the room unable to open their eyes.
A black shadow flashed past. The severed limb resting on the door handle fell to the floor. The three bodyguard-like subordinates and two women in the room had no time to react to the Anomaly's attack. Blood gushed from several mutilated corpses, dyeing the entire room red.
"All-Consuming Mist. Such dense Anomaly aura." Chen Xu looked at the faint wisps of mist seeping in through the crack beneath the door, a sharp glint flashing through his eyes.
