"Tyrant Blade's Final Form: Gods and Ghosts Annihilated!"
Dong Yan suddenly brought his longsword down, a silver-white streak slashing across the arena.
He felt that this was the best he had performed in the past half month.
Chen Xu slowly withdrew his fist, which had been suppressing the vast majority of its power. Dong Yan traced a perfect arc through the air before falling from the arena.
The referee froze for a moment, then immediately reacted. "Chen Martial Arts Academy's Director Chen Xu wins!"
As he stepped down from the arena, Chen Xu heard spectators somewhere in the stands shouting, "One-Punch Chen!" and "Instant-Kill Chen!" His mouth twitched slightly.
He quickened his pace. All Chen Xu needed to do next was wait for the rematches.
There were not many people wandering outside the arena area. Most hurried along, clearly intending to head to other arenas to watch the fights.
Without lingering, Chen Xu headed straight back to his own martial arts academy.
The walls were battered and crumbling, while the rusty iron gates stood wide open. Two burly men guarded the entrance, looking around in all directions.
Chen Xu's expression immediately darkened. Although he had no intention of properly running the academy, and did not even plan to spend a single Abyss Coin on it—
That did not mean anyone could come and go from his shabby little academy as they pleased.
His figure flashed, and he instantly appeared before the two burly men. He grabbed their shoulders and flung them aside.
"Who is it?" Someone inside seemed to have heard the commotion and poked his head out to investigate.
Chen Xu threw a straight punch, sending the man and several people behind him flying.
"Who gave you the courage to enter my academy without Chen's permission?"
Like a tiger among sheep, Chen Xu knocked down dozens of people in every conceivable pose in less than a few seconds.
"Director Chen, why be so angry?" The academy's reception hall stood wide open, and more than a dozen men walked out.
The leader had a small mustache on his chin. Though he wore a smile, he somehow made people feel a chill.
A bound figure was tossed down the steps, letting out a weak, hoarse voice.
"Xu Yeping, you dared to treat my wife and child like that? I'll never let you off!"
"Chang Wei, haven't you been beaten enough? How dare you speak to my lord like that?" Someone in the crowd behind immediately began flattering Xu Yeping.
"Chang Wei?" For a moment, Chen Xu truly did not recognize that man, covered in wounds without an inch of uninjured flesh, as Chang Wei.
Hearing the somewhat familiar voice, Chang Wei froze briefly. He struggled to widen his swollen eyes, trying to see the newcomer clearly.
"Boss Chen? Why are you here?" Chang Wei's tone was full of disbelief. In his mind, that voice should have been impossible to hear.
"This is my home. Why can't I be here?" Chen Xu said with complete righteousness.
Chang Wei fell silent. He only knew that he had been moved elsewhere; who would have thought he had been brought to Chen Martial Arts Academy?
At the thought of Chen Martial Arts Academy, Chang Wei writhed madly across the ground like an earthworm. "Boss Chen, run! That bastard Xu Yeping doesn't care about Xu Lie's disappearance at all. He only wants to give the Xu Family an explanation. Once he's done torturing us, he'll kill us!"
"What are you people doing? You went so easy on him that he still has the strength to talk." Xu Yeping's tone was calm, but everyone behind him was too terrified to even breathe loudly.
"My lord, I was wrong. I'll cut out his tongue right away." A burly, tattoo-covered man did not even dare straighten his back as he moved down the steps to deal with Chang Wei.
"Xu Yeping, you're still as unpopular with your subordinates as ever."
"Whether this lord is liked by his subordinates is not for you to decide," Xu Yeping snorted.
A man who had been fiddling with several ornaments opened the guest room door. Not an inch of his skin was exposed, and his face was likewise covered by a pitch-black iron mask.
Vaguely, two naked women could be seen lying on the floor and the bed respectively.
When the iron-masked man spoke, Chang Wei desperately struggled against the thick rope.
"Give up. Before becoming a Martial Artist, it's impossible to break free," the iron-masked man said, leaning against the doorway with mockery in his voice.
"Hey, weakling, did you forget something?"
A voice suddenly sounded beside Xu Yeping's ear, and he instinctively turned his head toward it.
A fist shattered every tooth in Xu Yeping's mouth. He spun several times in midair before collapsing unconscious onto the ground.
"My lo—"
Before he could finish speaking, a fierce wind swept through the entire academy, sparing not even the masked man.
One punch each. No more were needed.
Chen Xu casually tore apart the thick rope binding Chang Wei, then dragged them all into the academy like corpses.
Chang Wei forced himself upright without saying a word.
Facing Chen Xu's departing back, he slammed his head against the ground three times.
Afterward, ignoring the blood flowing down his forehead, he rushed into the guest room.
Before entering, he did not forget to run over to the masked man and viciously grind his foot down on a certain part.
"Wife, daughter, are you all right?" Chang Wei checked their breathing and listened to their heartbeats. Once he confirmed that they had merely fainted from extreme weakness, he finally let out a long breath.
He helped his daughter from the floor onto the bed, then leaned against its edge. The man who had not shed a single tear despite enduring torture and beatings for so long could no longer stop his tears from streaming down.
Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap!
Chen Xu grabbed Xu Yeping by the collar and slapped him more than a dozen times, forcibly waking him up.
"Weakling, is your skin itching? Looking for your Uncle Chen to treat you and loosen up your bones?"
Xu Yeping had been beaten so badly that his mind was muddled, but when he saw Chen Xu's next slap about to fall, he sobered up considerably.
"I'm from the Xu Family... I'm... I..."
Xu Yeping fell silent, only to receive another slap from Chen Xu.
In the end, under Chen Xu's excellent education, Xu Yeping gained a profound understanding of his mistakes and voluntarily offered to hand over all his property.
Chen Xu learned everything Xu Yeping and his many subordinates knew. After knocking them all unconscious, he took them to the wilderness and killed them.
He only spared that "one-balled"—no, perhaps now "ball-less"—warrior, because according to Xu Yeping's confession, he was a member of the Martial Alliance.
After removing his iron mask, Chen Xu nearly vomited up last night's meal at the sight of his face.
His appearance could no longer be described merely as ugly. Dense, pus-filled sores covered his face entirely, completely obscuring its original shape.
Chen Xu had no desire whatsoever to touch that face with his own hands.
After several basins of ice water were splashed over him, the masked man slowly woke up.
"I ask. You answer." Chen Xu's indifferent voice entered the masked man's ears.
"What is your relationship with the Martial Alliance?"
"What Martial Alliance?" The masked man still tried to play dumb and muddle through.
Taking out the cleaver he had not used in a long time, Chen Xu chopped off the man's little finger.
The pain of ten fingers being connected to the heart made the man cry out miserably.
"What is your relationship with the Martial Alliance?"
"I'm a member of the Martial Alliance branch—the Iron Mask Sect."
"What is your relationship with Xu Yeping?"
"The Xu Family has some secret cooperation with our Iron Mask Sect."
"The Martial Alliance is about to invade Jinning Commandery?"
"What kind of organization is the Martial Alliance?"
"Who is the Martial Alliance's leader?"
Chen Xu fired off a string of questions. The man had initially wanted to spout a few more lies, but after several more fingers were cut off, he became much more honest.
