How Could That Be?

"20 million volts..." As Enel spoke those words, a dazzling pillar of electricity suddenly erupted from his hand and struck toward Moke like lightning.

However, Moke seemed to have expected it. There was not a trace of panic on his face. Just as the electric pillar was about to hit him, he swiftly activated his Absorb-Absorb Fruit ability.

In an instant, Moke's body seemed to turn into a massive black hole, forcibly swallowing the 20-million-volt electric pillar into himself.

Enel's eyes widened, his face full of disbelief. He had never expected Moke to absorb his attack so easily.

"How could that be?" Enel cried out involuntarily.

However, this was only the beginning. Just as Enel was reeling in shock, something even more astonishing happened.

Moke's body began undergoing an incredible transformation. Blinding electric arcs flickered continuously across him, as though he had been struck by lightning.

Then Moke slowly raised his hand, and an electric pillar shot out from it as well. It was several times thicker than the one Enel had released earlier, and its power was on an entirely different level.

Enel had no time to react at all before the electric pillar struck him head-on like lightning.

"Argh!" Enel let out a scream as the powerful current blasted him away, slamming him heavily into a distant wall.

Enel struggled back to his feet, his chest still throbbing faintly. He stared fixedly at Moke, his face filled with utter disbelief.

He could clearly feel that the electric pillar Moke had just released carried a full 40 million volts—twice the power of his previous attack!

What Enel found even harder to accept was that Moke had now extended his hand as well, electricity constantly flickering within it, as though he too had gained the ability to control electric currents.
