You Lost, Imu

"Why... why could he still stand?

Why could he keep fighting?!"

Imu's heart was filled with confusion and rage.

She had already given everything she had, pushing her immense power to its limit, yet she still could not utterly defeat Jin An.

She took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down, but the unease in her heart coiled deep within her mind like a venomous snake, gnawing at her confidence.

Just then, Jin An charged at her again with his blade raised.

He moved like a gust of wind, his steps steady and swift, the blade flashing with a blinding cold gleam beneath the sunlight.

That utterly unhesitating attack, that all-consuming killing intent, made Imu's heart suddenly tighten.

She instinctively raised her hand, and a dark barrier rapidly formed before her.

The blade struck the barrier with an ear-piercing roar. The tremendous impact forced Imu back again and again, carving two deep furrows into the ground beneath her feet.

Her body jolted violently as a crack split across the barrier. Jin An's blade pierced her defense and left a deep wound on her arm.

"Impossible!"

Imu let out a low roar, an unmistakable trace of terror surfacing on her face.

She abruptly retreated several steps, clutching the wound on her arm as blood seeped through her fingers and stained her white sleeve red.

Jin An stood before her, her blood still dripping from his blade.

There was not a trace of expression on his face, only coldness and resolve.

His gaze was fixed directly on Imu, as icy as a winter wind, making an involuntary chill run through her.

"What's wrong, Imu?

Is this all you've got?

Aren't you a god?

Aren't you the lofty ruler above all?"

Jin An's voice was low, yet it carried endless mockery.
