Elbaf, Aulst City.
This city was famous for its ancient, majestic Giants' architecture. The Giants' existence and way of life had practically become part of the land's very lifeblood.
Now, Jin An and Amatsuki Toki stood here, the sight before them leaving them briefly silent.
Before them was a mural carved into petrified bark. Its surface was mottled, much of its color long faded, yet several breathtaking images could still be made out.
"This painting was children's graffiti from a long time ago."
A deep, powerful voice broke the silence. Accompanied by a faint breeze, a Giant appeared before Jin An and Amatsuki Toki.
He was enormous, his face aged yet wise. His skin was as solid as ancient stone, carrying the weight of history.
"It was carved into petrified bark and, because of its historical value, has been listed as a national cultural heritage site."
Jin An stared intently at the mural, a trace of contemplation in his eyes.
He did not respond at once. Instead, he slowly stepped forward and extended a finger, his fingertip nearly touching the petrified bark.
The marks left by time upon its surface seemed to tell countless stories.
The Giant explained:
"It is said this painting was created sometime between eight and nine hundred years ago."
Jin An murmured softly, the corners of his lips lifting slightly, though his gaze remained focused as he contemplated the mural.
"If the timing is correct..."
Jin An said quietly, as if considering an immense mystery,
"then the date of this painting overlaps with the Void Century, doesn't it?"
Amatsuki Toki stood beside him, her eyes flickering faintly as she watched Jin An.
She knew that Jin An's thoughts were no longer on the mural before him, but on the profound mystery tied to that forgotten era
