"Since conventional methods couldn't secure victory," Kordo snarled, "we'll use the final measure!"
He turned toward the Star-Attractor Device inside the Observatory and plunged his staff into the device's central console. The Void Origin Fragment at its tip immediately resonated intensely with the device, and the entire Observatory began to shake violently.
"Activate Void Summoning!" Kordo shouted. "Open a portal directly to the Void Origin!"
The Star-Attractor Device let out a deafening roar. The purple beam shooting from its top grew thicker and shot straight into the sky. At the end of the beam, space began to tear apart as a massive black rift formed.
"This is bad!" Astera's face changed drastically. "He's going to connect directly to the Void Origin! If he succeeds, the whole world will be dragged into the Void!"
A suffocatingly terrifying presence poured from the black rift, pure chaos from the deepest reaches of the Void. The rift continued to widen, and the spatial structure around its edges had already begun to collapse. Even light warped into bizarre shapes.
"We have to stop him!" Luffy clenched his fists, the Star patterns gleaming with determined light.
"That's right," Ace agreed with a nod. "We can't let his plan succeed!"
Astera watched the widening rift in the sky and understood the severity of the situation. Once Void Summoning was complete, Aurora Island would no longer be the only concern. The entire world would face the threat of destruction.
"Luffy, Ace," Astera said, turning to his two companions, "prepare for the final battle. Before the portal opens completely, we must destroy the Star-Attractor Device and defeat Kordo."
"Understood!" the two answered in unison.
Yet approaching Kordo while he performed Void Summoning was no easy task. The Void Energy around him had grown denser, forming an almost impenetrable barrier.
