Kozuki Oden's hometown!
Whitebeard took the newspaper, his gaze sweeping over the pictures of thunderclouds and shattered earth before landing on the photo of the destroyed Flower Capital.
"The Flower Capital... Oden mentioned this place, didn't he?"
Whitebeard said gravely.
"Pops, the Flower Capital is his hometown."
Kozuki Oden had left Wano Country by boarding Whitebeard's ship, and was later taken by Roger to Laugh Tale.
So many people aboard Whitebeard's ship knew Kozuki Oden.
After hearing Marco's words, Whitebeard frowned as he stared at the paper.
Kozuki Oden had returned to Wano Country after the Roger Pirates disbanded. They had not been in contact since, but he had once been one of Whitebeard's men.
No one knew what had happened to him now.
"Pops, are we going?"
A group of pirates gathered around, all looking at Whitebeard with eager eyes.
If they went to Wano Country, they would definitely have to fight Kaido.
Most pirates loved battle, and the men on Whitebeard's ship even more so.
And now that Whitebeard's name shook the Grand Line, these men feared neither heaven nor earth.
No matter what happened, Pops could handle it.
And Whitebeard truly could do that now. In the prime of his life, he was a man who truly stood at the pinnacle of these seas.
"Moria is that strong?"
Whitebeard did not say whether they would go. His gaze shifted to the previous picture.
He knew Kaido, and he knew Kaido's strength. Kaido had only recently stepped into his own prime as well.
Yet Moria had actually forced Kaido to use his awakened Devil Fruit ability.
"Moonlight Moria has a bounty of 300 million, but there should still be a huge gap between him and Kaido, right?"
Marco was stunned for a moment before speaking doubtfully.
Kaido did not yet hold the title of Emperor of the Sea, and his bounty had not reached its eventual peak of 4.611 billion Berries, but it had already surpassed 2 billion Berries.
While bounties on these seas did not absolutely represent a person's strength,
once they reached a certain amount, they did reflect a person's capabilities.
Even compared to the others currently aboard Whitebeard's ship, Moria's bounty was quite high.
But compared to Kaido's, the gap was far too great. That proved there was definitely a considerable difference in their strength.
"Gurararara, how interesting. But the news is still too vague. Let's wait for more information."
Whitebeard tossed the newspaper to Marco, lifted the bowl of sake before him, and drained it in one gulp.
"Continue toward the New World."
The other pirates aboard the ship had no objections to Whitebeard's order.
Besides, they were still quite far from Wano Country. Even if they headed there without running into any trouble, it would take nearly two months.
After that long, whatever had happened would have long since ended.
Besides, they still did not know what the situation was.
In truth, Whitebeard was indeed curious what kind of man could fight Kaido to such a state.
Whole Cake Island.
Charlotte Linlin was already preparing to build the nation of her dreams in the Grand Line, a country with ten thousand races.
Charlotte Linlin had not yet become as obese as she would be in the future due to her obsession with sweets, but because of her age and frequent childbirth, she already showed signs of old age. She looked like a cruel-hearted witch.
Yet her strength had not weakened in the slightest. Or rather, Charlotte had reached this point solely through her natural talent.
"Mamamama, Kaido has run into an opponent."
Charlotte Linlin laughed loudly as she looked at the newspaper in her hand.
A group of people hurriedly laid out all kinds of desserts before her.
"Mother, should we go? You and Kaido used to serve on the same ship."
Charlotte Linlin's eldest son, Perospero, spoke respectfully, his long tongue hanging out.
"Kaido won't fail so easily. But Moonlight Moria actually possesses this kind of strength."
Charlotte Linlin's eyes suddenly lit up as she noticed something crucial.
The Moonlight Moria Pirates had fought Kaido and caused such a huge commotion. Moria was no weakling.
Charlotte Linlin wanted to form a pirate crew made entirely of her own children. The fathers of her children did not matter; once used, they were discarded. If Moria was truly that powerful, perhaps he belonged to some special race as well.
At that thought, Charlotte Linlin swallowed.
Perospero, who knew Charlotte Linlin well, naturally understood what his mother was thinking.
"Forget it!"
Charlotte Linlin rubbed her belly.
"I already have babies now."
At her words, Perospero actually sighed in relief.
Not far away, Katakuri listened to the conversation between his elder brother and mother, his sharp-toothed mouth hidden beneath his scarf. His expression did not change.
His younger brothers and sisters around him were eating and drinking heartily, but he did not touch a thing.
"Keep watching Kaido's whereabouts. If he fails, come tell me."
Charlotte Linlin truly had considered capturing Moria and having children with him, but she was already carrying two babies. She had to give birth to them first.
"Children, let's have a party!"
Without waiting for Perospero's reply, Charlotte Linlin raised her teacup and laughed.
The bizarre-looking creatures Charlotte Linlin had given birth to all cheered together.
Then the teacups, the pastries, and even everything in the banquet hall seemed to come alive and began singing in unison.
West Blue.
"Young Master!"
Trebol, looking filthy with snot running from his nose, took the newspaper from Donquixote Doflamingo's hand.
"Fufufu, how interesting. Moria..."
Donquixote Doflamingo pressed a hand to his forehead and let out a strange laugh.
"Trebol, make preparations. We're entering the New World again."
"Young Master, what about West Blue?"
Trebol froze before immediately speaking up.
"It's enough. I don't need to rule the entire underworld."
At Donquixote Doflamingo's words, Trebol nodded, then seemed to remember something.
"The Marines should still be watching you, Young Master..."
At that, Donquixote Doflamingo's expression darkened as he recalled the Marine vice admiral who had once chased him out of the New World.
Marine Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Tsuru.
That woman's ability was too dangerous.
He had seen people struck by her Wash-Wash Fruit. Every evil thought in their minds had been washed clean, turning them into saints.
That was something he would never allow to happen to himself.
"Go do it!"
"Yes!"
Seeing his young master's expression, Trebol said nothing more. He nodded and turned to leave.
Donquixote Doflamingo's gaze fell upon the newspaper in his hand once again, fixed on the picture of that mass of thunderclouds.
Moonlight Moria had already come this far, contending with Kaido?
The Moonlight Moria whom everyone was doubting had already fled Wano Country's waters long ago. Controlling Thriller Bark, he wanted to get as far away from the Grand Line as possible.
Meanwhile, the battle in Wano Country continued for seven days before it finally began to draw to a close.
