"Seventeen warships destroyed, eight heavily damaged..." the adjutant reported tremblingly. "The enemy has found a way to counter us."
"Pure Will..." Karax gritted his teeth. "For the first time in thousands of years, prey has emerged that can threaten us."
He walked to the enormous central console and entered a string of complex codes.
"Activate the Forbidden Arsenal."
"Commander! That weapon..." The adjutant was horrified. "Using it will contaminate this entire starfield!"
"I don't care!" Karax roared. "How dare a mere Solar System resist the Void Empire?"
A black-purple crystal sphere rose from the console.
Viscous liquid swirled inside it, radiating nauseating malice.
"The Willpower Contamination Toxin, the Void Empire's ultimate biological weapon." Karax sneered. "It was designed specifically for enemies with powerful mental wills."
He pressed the activation button.
Thirty unusually shaped Void Battleships emerged from the rear of the fleet.
Unlike ordinary combat vessels, these ships had tentacle-like hulls covered in countless spray ports.
"Begin release!" Karax ordered.
All thirty toxin ships activated simultaneously, black-purple mist pouring from their spray ports.
The mist spread at the speed of light, instantly covering an area spanning tens of thousands of kilometers.
The entire Pluto orbital battlefield was shrouded in eerie purple fog.
"What is this?" Ace was the first to notice something was wrong. "The mist is approaching us!"
"All ships, evade!" Luffy immediately ordered.
But the Willpower Toxin spread faster than any warship could move.
Within seconds, the purple mist had engulfed every Solar System warship.
"Cough, cough!" A Jupiter warship captain began coughing. "This mist... is poisonous!"
Ace tried to purify the air with flames, but the moment his fire touched the purple mist, it was extinguished.
