Chapter 21: Test Subject P13
Lowering his head to take Lin Su's rosy lips into his mouth, Gu Lin looked at the face so close to his own. Those dark ink-colored eyes crashed into his, the murky turmoil within them leaving Lin Su stunned. His hand froze in midair, and for a moment, he forgot to push him away.
Gu Lin, what kind of look was that?
Thin lips moved gently against his. At this moment, Gu Lin had closed his eyes, his expression soft as he sucked lightly and carefully, focused and affectionate enough to leave Lin Su dazed.
Strong arms tightened around him. Lin Su shrank under the pressure on his shoulders; from behind, he looked as though he were curled up in Gu Lin's embrace.
A burning palm stroked his smooth cheek, rough fingertips rubbing against it and making his long lashes tremble. They brushed Gu Lin's cheek again and again, stirring an itch in his heart.
Lin Su's eyes suddenly flew open. The response from his red lips came to an abrupt halt, and all his reason returned sharply the instant it was roused. He raised a hand and shoved Gu Lin away without mercy. Gu Lin, still lingering over that sweetness, sat on the steps in confusion, lifting desire-filled dark eyes to stare directly at the person leaning against the banister.
"Gu..."
Before he could finish, waves of tingling spread through his glands. Lin Su finally understood why the man's gaze had been so naked.
The entire villa seemed immersed in a sea of floral fragrance. Roses, picked by someone unknown, had been scattered into every corner, their refreshing scent entwining with the aroma of wine and drifting freely through the air.
To prevent anything further from happening, Lin Su bit down on his somewhat swollen lips and supported himself as he walked step by step toward his room.
All he could think of was the inhibitor—the inhibitor in his bag.
His powerless body leaned against the door. Lin Su panted as he endured the heat inside him, finally opening the door and shutting everything behind him out.
Thud. The door closed, accompanied by the sound of something heavy hitting the floor.
Gu Lin abruptly rose from the stairs and rushed toward the source of the sound. He opened the bedroom door to find Lin Su curled up beside the bed, his forehead covered in sweat. An empty syringe lay beside him, every last drop of medicine inside already injected.
The inhibitor did ease things when it first entered his body, but the relief lasted only a minute. After that minute, the heat came crashing down even more overwhelmingly than before.
It was unbearable. It was agonizing. The back of his neck burned even more fiercely.
"Didn't I tell you not to use it?" Gu Lin picked him up, his voice hoarse. "Why won't you listen?"
That embrace was like an oasis encountered in the desert. Lin Su eagerly pressed himself close to him.
Lin Su still retained some of his reason. He felt his behavior was utterly shameful, even humiliating. A grown man curled up in another man's arms like a kitten, as though waiting for his master's favor.
Once he was laid on the soft bed, Lin Su clung tightly to Gu Lin as if afraid he would run away. His peach-blossom eyes were misted with tears, hazy and unfocused. His red lips murmured, "P1...3, inhibitor, syr... syringe..."
Why was he still thinking about the inhibitor? This test subject could cause a certain degree of harm to an Omega's body, and in just a few minutes, the side effects had already become so obvious.
Gu Lin thought of that day again. If he had returned even a step later, and Lin Su had gone out only to run into his heat, what irreversible consequences would using that syringe of inhibitor have caused?
At that thought, his expression darkened further. His large hand brushed the loose hair from Lin Su's sweaty forehead, revealing a smooth, full brow. Those misty eyes looked at him with complicated emotions, slender fingers clenched tightly.
"Assistant Lin, you don't seem to like taking advice." He spoke words Lin Su could not understand.
That cool, aloof face drew closer. His dark eyes were frighteningly calm and composed. The man's breath fell against Lin Su's ear. Lin Su blinked unconsciously, his lashes trembling, as Gu Lin spoke in a low, hoarse voice.
"Medicine?"
