Since he had not set an alarm at all, Su Yu was woken by Gu Lin the next morning. Still bleary-eyed, Su Yu glanced at the time and listlessly put down his phone. "Why do I have to get up at seven?"
"We'll head down after breakfast. It'll be hot if we leave too late."
Su Yu could not help burrowing back under the covers, even turning his face into the blanket. Then he stopped moving.
"Granny Wei has already prepared breakfast."
Gu Lin gently shook his shoulder. After a while, Su Yu's muffled voice came from beneath the covers. "Wake me again in five minutes."
Gu Lin thought that next time, Su Yu should avoid staying overnight at other people's homes if he could. Getting up early was simply too painful for him; he was better suited to staying in his own home.
Su Yu felt as if he had only dozed off for a moment when Gu Lin's distinctively crisp voice rang out beside his ear again. "Five minutes are up. Time to get up."
Su Yu dragged himself out of bed and, under Gu Lin's urging, went into the bathroom to wash up. It was not until after he had washed his face that he truly woke up. Gu Lin, however, asked what time he had gone to sleep last night for getting up to be this difficult.
"I don't know. Very late, probably."
Going to bed after midnight was already early for Su Yu. Besides, he had slept until the afternoon the day before, so he was not sleepy at all that night.
And when he woke up, his waist and back ached, as did his legs.
After washing up, Su Yu followed Gu Lin downstairs. Seeing how slowly he lowered himself into a chair while
