Second, I suddenly came across a novel I wrote in 2010. Six whole years ago! Out of curiosity, I took a look, and was startled to discover that its very first paragraph was one I'd used in Confucian Sage. The floodgates of memory opened in an instant...
So I couldn't resist reading on carefully, and found that this book could practically be called the original version of Confucian Sage. Many things in it were the wellspring of Confucian Sage, and its style was remarkably similar.
I even copied a line of poetry into that book, ahem...
I was overwhelmed with emotion. There really is no explaining this thing called a writer's DNA. Perhaps it was that opening that made the later Confucian Sage possible.
