A dense wall of holy light soared into the sky, roughly a thousand feet thick and three miles long, its height without limit. It pierced the night sky, standing over the Saint Origin Continent like an enormous wooden board and reaching into outer space.
Then shafts of starlight descended from the heavens and struck the wall of holy light. The wall steadily contracted until, at last, all its holy light withdrew.
In its place appeared translucent stars, gathering into a wall.
A Star Wall.
As the Lang Lu Incarnation formed his Star Wall, the Guanhai Incarnation swept his gaze over all the phantom stars behind Lang Lu. A wall of holy light likewise rose behind him, then drew down starlight to form an immense wall of stars at his back, shielding Ning'an City.
The instant the second Star Wall took shape, the phantom stars in both walls that originated from the same stars simultaneously released starlight, linking to one another.
The starlight from every phantom star in the two Star Walls connected, and an instant later, all the stars began moving wildly.
The phantom stars flickered madly, and the threads of starlight connecting them flashed and shifted just as wildly. Several breaths later, every star abruptly stopped. Between the two Star Walls, an independent space enclosed in silver starlight had taken shape.
The Guanhai Incarnation and the Lang Lu Incarnation slowly ascended, and the space within the Star Walls rose with them. Finally, both sides stood tens of thousands of feet above the ground.
