My computer crashed, and the new chapter was lost.
After struggling with it for ages, I still couldn't recover a single word. I'll have to rewrite it tomorrow. Sorry.
rd was originally set to save every five minutes, but it didn't save anything at all. Automatic recovery failed completely, too; all it recovered was yesterday's chapter. Not a single word was saved!
I barely had anything open on the computer, just the rd file and antivirus software, yet I still got a blue screen. I thought that sort of thing only happened on ndo95, but I was using w7. I couldn't understand it.
All I could do was keep looking for solutions, get a new computer, use new software, prepare to work with online documents, and keep searching for good cloud drives with syncing that had been axed in one sweeping stroke by xxxx.
It's always like this. Once they say something isn't allowed, it isn't allowed. They never find a replacement first before dealing with it, and they couldn't care less about the ordinary people who suffer as a result. This isn't me lashing out at someone else; it's helplessness.
I tried Tencent Docs, too. It was basically a half-finished product, without even basic features like changing the background color or undo and redo. Something at that level was enough to get a press release, catch the big boss's attention, and be hyped up as an epoch-making change. I was honestly speechless.
Basically, none of the cloud drives with syncing actually synced. The ones that truly did had been axed in one sweeping stroke.
I searched for things like online drives, but the complicated instructions and procedures for entirely business-oriented services like Tencent Cloud Drive successfully scared off an individual user like me.
I'd previously used some cloud drives
