"What?" Cui Yuanlang's expression changed drastically, his eyes widening.
He had never imagined that the impoverished scholar who had been too weak to truss a chicken three months ago would now possess such terrifying strength!
"Y-you... who are you?" he asked in a trembling voice.
Chu Yang looked at him coldly, a mocking smile curling at the corner of his lips.
"What? Young Master Cui doesn't recognize me anymore?"
"Three months ago, you sent people to hunt me down. I took them all down with nothing but a wooden stick."
"Three months later, you brought more people to trouble me. Did you think I was still the same person I used to be?"
Cui Yuanlang's face turned deathly pale, and he instinctively staggered back several steps.
"G-get him!" he shouted harshly. "All together! Kill him!"
Though the dozen or so remaining guards were terrified, they did not dare disobey Cui Yuanlang's orders. They could only grit their teeth and charge at Chu Yang.
Chu Yang snorted coldly, his figure darting through the crowd like a ghost.
He was too fast. The guards could not see his movements at all. They only caught a blur sweeping past their eyes, followed by a burst of excruciating pain before they lost consciousness.
In just a few moments, all of the guards had collapsed to the ground without exception.
Cui Yuanlang was scared out of his wits and turned to flee.
But he had barely taken a step when he felt his neck tighten, and Chu Yang had already lifted him off the ground.
"Trying to run?" Chu Yang stared at him coldly. "Too late."
"N-no... don't kill me..." Cui Yuanlang's voice trembled, his face filled with terror. "I-I'm from the Cui Family... If you kill me, the Cui Family won't let you off..."
