[He was seriously handsome. Even as a guy, I was tempted. Damn, if only I had that face.]
[Dragon bro, I want to have your babies.]
[Dragon bro, go make movies. With your talent, you'd definitely make money. I've even thought of the title already: (A Night the Dragon Refuses to Yield to the Princess)]
Seeing the comments growing increasingly bizarre, Mo Fei decisively chose to ignore them.
The advancement was complete. It was time to meet the other Black Dragon Lords.
"Come on. I'll take you somewhere."
Mo Fei was about to leave the dragon lair, but Catherine looked utterly lifeless.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm hungry."
Mo Fei had a headache. A game being too realistic was not necessarily a good thing—he had to feed his captive every day. Back in the Dark Dragon Nest, feeding was handled by the Dragonkin servants. Having to do it himself now was truly troublesome.
"Come on. I'll take you to eat."
One human and one dragon left the lair and followed the dark, cold obsidian passage toward the hall outside. The Dragonkin they encountered along the way initially looked surprised, but they quickly sensed Mo Fei's status as a higher dragon and lowered their heads in salute.
Dragonkin were a lower race of Dragonkind, linked to dragons by blood. Thus, they could keenly sense the presence of dragons, especially the relative strength of dragons sharing the same color.
Moreover, Dragonkin naturally held dragons in deep awe, making them Dragonkind's most useful servants.
When the two arrived at the banquet hall, several Black Dragon Lords happened to be eating breakfast. In truth, as supernatural creatures, dragons primarily required energy to grow. Adult dragons could draw power from natural elements, so they had no strict need to eat.
Still, most dragons were fond of pleasure, so naturally, the more food, drink, and entertainment, the better.
This was where the benefits of Human Form became apparent. Given the size of adult dragons, if a group of Black Dragon Lords dined in their original forms, no amount of food would fill their stomachs. Besides, gulping everything down whole meant they could barely taste anything, and their table manners would be atrocious. Just imagine a group of dragons weighing hundreds of tons each, every one of them clutching a mammoth or thunder lizard and gnawing on it. There was simply no style to it.
But once they took Human Form, they could sit beside luxurious dining tables and delicately savor exquisite dishes prepared by kidnapped royal chefs, using elegant utensils forged from pure gold and mithril.
Their prestige instantly shot through the roof.
When Mo Fei entered, this was the scene he saw.
Several Black Dragon Lords had all assumed human avatars.
Telhorason, Lord of Howling Fjord, had taken the form of a remarkably heroic middle-aged man. With a full beard, thick long hair, a powerful build, and a friendly smile, he looked like a warm and handsome middle-aged gentleman as he heartily drank and ate meat.
Somerfield, known by the residents of the Wetlands as the Death in the Mist, appeared as a melancholy and handsome Night Elf. Reclining sideways in a high-backed chair, he slowly savored a glass of Dalaran black wine, carrying the decadent air of an artist.
Agnes, one of only two female Black Dragon Lords, had taken the form of a cold and noble Elven beauty with long straight black hair. Her every movement was graceful.
She spent most of her time in Human Form, living in the free city of Anfindor on the border between Quel'Thalas and Lordaeron. Publicly, she was a low-profile Elven merchant, but in secret, she controlled the city's entire trade network.
It had to be said that Dragonkind's aesthetic tastes aligned very well with those of players. Their human avatars were either human or Elves, and every one of them was either a beauty or a handsome man, all striving for perfect looks.
With several of them seated together, the sight was truly pleasing to the eye.
Besides them, there were several other people in the banquet hall.
A beautiful woman in a luxurious gown was absentmindedly tasting her food.
A female Tauren in a brightly colored dress was taking huge bites from a plate of mushrooms.
There was also a silver-haired little girl struggling valiantly against a honey-roasted chicken.
And a heavily bearded Dark Iron Dwarf was gnawing on a roasted pork leg without the slightest regard for appearances.
The comments erupted again.
[Wow, are all dragons this good-looking after transforming into humans? They just keep getting more handsome.]
[I feel like I've seen that long-haired black-haired Elven lady somewhere before. She's so cool. If she were my wife, I'd pull out my ribs and make soup for her.]
[I don't think your whole body would even be enough to get stuck in her teeth. She's a Black Dragon Lord.]
[Damn it, I'm making a dragon character too.]
[You're dreaming, dude. To learn Human Form, you have to be at least a young dragon—a Skeleton Tier boss. Character creation alone costs a hundred thousand.]
[If you want to look handsome, just play an ordinary Elf. They're all handsome men and beautiful women, and it doesn't even cost money.]
[It's not about looks. I feel like the humanoid forms dragons take all have a special kind of presence. I don't know how to explain it.]
[Is that dark-skinned dwarf also a Black Dragon Lord?]
"Wow, wow, wow! Let me see who this is. Murphys? You finally came to your senses and started using a human avatar? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Your appearance really lacks originality. Another human? Why not learn from me? Only Dwarves are true men."
The speaker was that dark-skinned Dark Iron Dwarf. Naturally, his true identity was also a Black Dragon Lord.
Mo Fei's eyelid twitched. "Agli Durum... I didn't expect you to be here too."
Mo Fei felt somewhat helpless. There was something wrong with this dragon's personality. He especially loved making crude jokes, and his chosen human avatar was uniquely inventive: a heavily bearded Dark Iron Dwarf. His tastes were so bizarre that one could not help wondering whether his bloodline had been mixed with some mysterious creature like an Ogre or bear Goblin.
Seeing Mo Fei's expression, the dwarf burst into laughter and took another huge bite of his roasted pork leg.
Agnes elegantly raised her glass. "Sit down quickly. If you wait any longer, Durum will eat all the food."
Samofiel's eyes immediately lit up when he saw Catherine beside Mo Fei.
He walked over to Catherine and bowed. "Greetings, beautiful princess. The bard Samofiel is at your service."
Catherine answered awkwardly, but her eyes remained fixed on the food spread across the table.
"Ignore him. If you're hungry, eat."
Catherine immediately shook off Samofiel's hand, grabbed a piece of meat, and began eating.
Samofiel wore an injured expression. "Murphys, you may have changed into a human form, but your heart is still as crude as ever. Look how hungry you've let your princess become—she has completely lost her poise." Samofiel spoke regretfully. "Now look at mine. Princess Sabrina of Alterac. See how poised she is."
The woman who had been delicately tasting her meal raised her head and nodded at Mo Fei. When she saw Catherine, she was briefly stunned.
"Catherine?"
Catherine noticed the woman and looked surprised. "Sabrina? I didn't expect you to be here too..."
Unexpectedly, they had run into an acquaintance.
"Hmph, all you princesses are pathetic—urp."
Agli Durum let out a burp, beckoned to the Tauren gnawing on mushrooms nearby, then slapped her shapely rear.
"Now this is what you call a princess. Look at that figure, that appearance. To get her, I specifically made a trip to Stranglethorn Vale and killed a giant ape dozens of meters tall before I got my hands on her. Tauren Princess Pubal. So? Jealous? Hahahaha!"
The female Tauren raised her head, her large eyes blinking innocently at everyone.
Mo Fei was speechless. This was supposed to be a princess? Well, maybe she really was one. This guy's way of thinking had always been this bizarre, and it was hardly the first time.
He looked toward the unfamiliar silver-haired little girl. Where had Telhorason found a little girl princess like this?
Telhorason burst into laughter. "Hahaha, she wasn't kidnapped by me, but she truly is my little princess. Norma, come meet your Uncle Murphys."
Mo Fei hurriedly offered his congratulations, though he was filled with confusion. Black dragons' human avatars were basically all black-haired, so why was this little girl silver-haired? And why could his daughter assume Human Form from the moment she was born?
He did not pursue the matter. In theory, Dragonkind could reproduce with any creature. Maybe his old friend had simply changed tastes.
After Mo Fei sat down in an empty seat nearby, Telhorason mysteriously said, "Speaking of princesses, do you know who I just ran into? Those two have come as well."
